just hands

6 3 2

One of those hands dresses a baby in

diapers

One of those hands tremble deeply

yearning for another hand that lies

Un moving-

One of those hands reaches for toilet

paper

One of those hands dose the cleaning

One of those hands fights war

One of those hands pray

One of those hands kneeds the dough

Wistful thinking of childhood memories

One of those hands those fingers dust

over pictures of a childhood lost

One of those hands type a keyboard

Away
            Away

A w a y

One of those hands holds animal dear,

One of those hands looks at own hands

And thinks hands are fascinating,

With bones made up and muscles

Tendons, blood vessel and every part

connected to the human body

One of those hands floats above the

water, picks flowers, picks vegetables

              Helps another hand

Adores another, feels another, breathes

another one of those hands traces every

curve and dip of the human body.
