10. Fanmeeting

"Wow, woah, woah. Looks pretty, Han." Rena said as she entered Seventeen's make up room.

You and Rena are asked to deliver iced coffees to Seventeen's dressing room. The BSS Trio welcomes you happily, helping you distribute the coffees.

"I won't be talking to Y/N until she cancel the halloween episode." It turns out that Seungcheol is still sulking.

"It wouldn't be too scary." You shrug, earning a light playful smack from Seungcheol.

"Such a grandpa." Hoshi shook his head while sipping his coffee.

"Y/N, come here. Have some too." Rena invites you to sit next to hear on the sofa, giving you the remaining coffee. She also has one for herself.

"Thanks." You gladly accept the offer.

You don't have any chance to get your caffeine right from the start of the day, too many things to do in a row without a break. So you're really happy that you and Rena can finally sit back and relax for a bit. The cold and bitterness of the coffee tastes like heaven, tastes very refreshing especially the first few sips. It's so good that you groan with satisfaction like a middle-aged man after drinking alcohol.

Rena found your reaction funny and couldn't help but laugh, she then copied your reaction, followed by Dino and Dokyeom who also copied you--of course both men exaggerated it.

"You sound more like a wild boar than I do." You protest to Dokyeom. Dino laughed out loud at the word Boar.

"Boar??" Dokyeom's reaction of course dramatic as usual. Wonwoo and Mingyu couldn't help but also burst out laughing from the other side of the room.

Jeonghan, Woozi, and Jun are still doing their hair. While the others are already ready for the fanmeeting. While still joking around with Dino and Dokyeom, your eyes accidentally met Jeonghan's from the reflection of the mirror. His aura somehow didn't match the atmosphere in that room--while everyone else was cheerful, he looked a bit cold.

The make-up artist clearly has taken a liking on Jeonghan's long hair, this can be seen from the extra effort she put into styling his hair. Jeonghan got a lot of hair accessories--tiny colorful clips to be exact.

Trying to lighten up the mood, you point at his hair and then give him a thumbs up--complimenting his appearance. Jeonghan's lips slowly formed a small smile after you smiled at him first.

"Okay, is everyone done?" Rena clapped her hands, inviting all the members to gather, "Let's get started, shall we?"

Together with the members, you walk together to the backstage. When their newest MV plays on the big screen, you can hear the fans start cheering loudly. One by one the names of the members were clearly shouted. The thirteen of them gathered in a circle, encouraging each other. As the leader, Seungcheol was the first to get on stage, followed by Jeonghan, Joshua and the others. Just when you thought it couldn't get any louder, the fans started cheering hysterically at their idol's presence.

"Holy shit, that scared me." You say to yourself after jumping a bit.

Rena including several other crew members helped around the stage, they were tasked with helping to pack gifts received from fans, as well as keeping the bodyguards alert in case of unwanted actions. As for yourself--because it's your first experience, they don't give you too much pressure--which you're very grateful for.

Wearing your mask and your hat, you decide to go to the very back of the venue for a full view. A long table was placed on the stage, each member was given one seat. Fans one by one get an opportunity to get on stage and interact with the members. Whenever the members have a cute interaction with the fans, the others who are still sitting down will screams loudly--you really have to get used to the loud noises.

"Is everyone having a good day today?" A calm soothing voice said through the microphone. The camera zoomed in to Jeonghan's face, showing his face on the screen.

The crowd simultaneously shouted yes in response.

"Me and my members too." He smiled a small smile, "I was very excited when I arrived in Tokyo for this fanmeeting." Jeonghan paused, glancing at Seunghceol. In response, Seungcheol only nodded his head slightly.

"But I feel more disappointed now." He added in a calm but firm voice.

The commotion gradually faded away, leaving only waves of whispers from the audience.

"We heard some people talking about really mean things about one of our crew yesterday. As everyone knows, without the hard work of our crew, we wouldn't be able to meet you guys." Jeonghan calmly pointed the pen he was holding at the camera.

"Talking badly about other people's flaw is a no-no, understand?" Even though he swayed his tone, in your opinion it still sound like a sarcasm.

Underneath your hat, your face shows everything--dumbfounded by Jeonghan's words. Meanwhile the other members didn't look as surprised as you and no one denied what Jeonghan said, indicating they already know he's gonna say that.

After letting the atmosphere become tense for a moment, Jeonghan finally spoke again in a warmer tone, "Can you promise to treat our crew like you treated us?"

"Good girl." He said with a rather low voice, a small smirk on his face. Seeing that, the fans of course started screaming happily again.

You still don't know what to say or what to do. Without you knowing you've walked back to the backstage. When you arrived at the dressing room which was still empty, you took off your hat and mask to wipe away the mix of sweat and a tear on your face. You wipe your eyes again and again, kind of amazed that the tear won't stop meanwhile you're not feeling sad at all. Maybe you really feel touched by the way they treat you.

"Who made you cry this time?"

You are surprised by the sudden presence of people behind you. You immediately turned around and saw Jeonghan leaning against the door frame. His hands are crossed, his head tilted to the side.

"You stupid!" Even though your heart was actually grateful, you couldn't help but want to scold him, "Why would you say that to your fans?"

"What's wrong is wrong, and they need to be aware of that." Jeonghan simply said while turning around, about to leave the room to return to the stage.

As soon as he is out of sight, you take two or three steps at a time to catch up with him. He was already walking down the hall, about to go up to the stage again. All you can see is his back. If years ago you would have jumped on his back--but now you can only refrain yourself from doing so.

"Thank you!" You say out loud.

Jeonghan looked over his shoulder, he pointed at your face then smiled, "I hope to see the crescent moon again."
