Chapter 5

JAYLEES POV
The next day

I woke up to my phone ringing at 4 in the morning, I looked at the caller ID and saw it was Austin calling, my heart instantly dropped, I knew something was wrong or he wouldn't be calling me at this time.

"Hello, Austin is everything okay?" I asked worriedly.

Jaylee, Dad had to take Mum to the hospital I'm here now, she's not feeling well at all" He said.
"what? She was fine yesterday!" I exclaimed.

I know the doctors aren't telling us anything and they're not letting us see her" Austin stressed.
"what! I'm coming down to London now!" I said jumping out of my bed.

"Okay drive safely, I'll let you know if there are any details," Austin said and I nodded even though he couldn't see me.

Okay, I'll see you in a few hours," I said ending the call. I broke down crying as I started to get ready throwing on clothes and packing a small bag, my mum had begun to slow down in the last few years she had good days and bad ones and there was no explanation. Jeremiah was still at Jude's house, so I left the house and drove down to London.

I didn't stop the whole way down and I left Jude a text message for when he woke up, my brother called to say we could see Mum but there were still no answers.

I parked at my brother's house which was just near the hospital so I wouldn't have to pay then walked down the road to where my Brother was waiting.

"hey" he smiled weakly hugging me "Hey any more news?" I asked him and he shook his head negatively. "Can I see her?" I then asked sighing and he nodded.

We walked back into the hospital and towards my mum's room when I saw her lying in the bed I ran beside her. "Mum, are you okay?" I said gently hugging myself.

"I'm okay" my mum's voice screeched and I nodded.

We talked a little bit more and my dad and gone through everything that happened and I could see he was really worried.

"Hello, guys," A Doctor, Louis who is quite a close friend of my mum said walking into the room. "so all the tests we did came back with nothing," he said shaking his head.

"what? How can that look at her!" my brother exclaimed. "We are looking further into it, we haven't seen anything like this before please understand are trying our best" Louis sighed.

"But you can help her right?" I asked playing with my earrings.
"We will try our best" he nodded.

"Promise me she will be okay," I said with tears in my eyes, "she will be okay Jaylee" Louis nodded. "promise me!" I then yelled,
"I promise"

We spent an hour just talking to my mum before she fell asleep again and Jeremiah arrived so I went out to the entrance and he was standing there with Trent.

"Hey," I smiled at both of them excitedly, and Jeremiah came running over "I missed you, mummy"
"I missed you too JJ," I said picking him up "Sorry for scaring you with my shouting"
"it's okay" he shrugged making me laugh a little

I looked to Trent who was smiling at us and then looked at me sympathetically when he was me looking, "I'm sorry about your mum, how is she?" he asked hugging me.

"She's asleep right now, the doctors have no answers all the tests say she's fine but she isn't" I sighed. "That's terrible but your mum is strong I'm sure she will push through it" he smiled at me and I nodded.

"Was Jude busy?" I asked and Trent shook his head, "he said it would be better if someone else took Jeremiah he didn't want to cause you to stress or have arguments"
"Oh, I would if minded if he came" I sighed.
"I tried to tell him that but he didn't listen." Trent shrugged.

"Where's Nanny?" Jeremiah asked me playing with my hair. "we will go see her in a second" I said kissing his forehead. "you want to come see her?" I asked Trent and he shook his head, "I'll give you guys family time" and I nodded.

"Okay well thank you so much for driving Jeremiah" I smiled hugging him, "of course anything for your family, I wish your mum a speedy recovery" he smiled.

"thank you Trent see you soon" I smiled, "yeah see you Jaylee bye JJ" he smiled back and Jeremiah waved.

"Jeremiah you have to be a good boy and listen to me, don't go touching anything you shouldn't and ask me before you do anything you are not sure of okay?" I said as we walked towards the room my mum was in and he nodded.

When we entered the room Jeremiah started kicking his legs so I put him down, "Nanny!!" he cheered running to jump on her but luckily Austin grabbed him just in time. "Carefully Jeremiah" he laughed softly, placing him in the bed next to my mum.

"hey my sweetheart" my mum smiled kissing him on the head, "you okay?" Jeremiah asked looking at her worried whilst frowning. "I'm okay" my mum smiled back weakly as Jeremiah hugged her.

The moment got interrupted by my phone ringing so I stepped outside and answered the call, "Jude hey" I said.

"Hey Jaylee, how's your mum?" he asked me, "she is feeling a lot better but still no answers" I sighed. "oh that's not good" Jude responded, and I stayed silent not knowing what to say. "and how are you?"

"I'm good" I responded nodding my head, "that's good, and about Xavier is everything alright now?" he replied.
"I guess I don't know what's going on at the moment," I said.

"Okay, but you can always talk to me Jaylee, I know we're not the best for each other but I still care Jaylee" Jude spoke making a small smile appear on my face. "Thanks, Jude same to you, I wouldn't of minded if you came, I'm sure your mum would have been happy to see you"

"Yeah, I just didn't want to cause you any more stress," he said before pausing, "well say hi to your family and tell your mum I said get well soon and I'll be thinking of her."

"of course see you Jude" I smiled, "Goodbye Jaylee" Jude replied. I sat there not ending the phone call and neither did Jude, I didn't want him to go and he didn't want to go either.

That was until I heard a loud crash from inside the room, I hung up the phone and ran in.
I saw some of my mum's Medical technical stuff I had no idea of the name of on the floor and Jeremiah sat with a small smirk on his face.

"Jeremiah didn't I tell you to be careful and be a good boy!" I exclaimed and his smile dropped, " I didn't mean to!" he whined.

"It's okay, apologise to the nanny," I said and my dad went out to find a nurse. "Sorry nanny" Jeremiah hugged her hug but my mum didn't respond and just hugged him.

"I best take him back," I said to Austin and he nodded, I went over and kissed my mum on the head saying goodbye before hugging my dad.

I took Jeremiah's hand and I took him back home to Austin's house where we were staying
