Chapter 45

A MONTH LATER
JAYLEES POV

Today was a very important day, England have made it all the way to the euro final, they were playing France at Wembley. Everyone had gone to Wembley apart from Austin who offered to stay home with me as my due date was exactly a week from today and this baby could pop any second. I did feel bad for Austin as I knew he would have loved to be at Wembley but I'm glad I have someone to watch with.

The players were all lined up and England started singing there national anthems, the camera soon came to Jude and the nerves instantly kicked in, I knew I shouldn't be stressing to much but I couldn't help it. After they both sang their national anthems the match soon kicked off, "come on England!" My brother exclaimed as we quickly ran towards the goal but nothing came from it.

The first half was long and boring and had been no goals from either team, not that I was complaining France was all over England and they had done well to keep it 0-0. "You alright Jay? Want a drink or anything?" My brother asked as the half time whistle blew, "yes please, I'll just have water" I said and Austin nodded getting up and walking into the kitchen.

I went to the toilet and when I came back I looked at my phone and saw Denise had sent some pictures to the family group chat.
"Look at Jeremiah in that one" I laughed showing Austin a picture of him cheering in his England top and England flags painted on his face, "he loves it" Austin said and I nodded laughing.

Half time was soon over and it was now getting serious, no one wanted penalties, Expesially after last time. "Jay stop doing that" Austin said grabbing my hands as I realised I had been biting my nail, "sorry, I just hate the fact that it's all dependent on them and there's nothing we can do to help" I sighed.
"Tell me about it but, it's the way it is, everything happens for a reason try not to stress" he said and I nodded.

In the 55th minute Kylian Mbappe had got the ball into the box and Trent was the last defender, he tired to get the ball of kylian but when doing so he accidentally conceded a penalty. "Shit" I muttered as the referee pointed to the penalty spot, "come on Jordan" Austin said and he waved him hands around in the goal in an attempt to throw Mbappe off. 

The referees whilst blew and kylian ran up and kicked the ball left, but Jordan was quick and dived catching the ball causing everyone including us to cheer. "What a save" Austin said and I nodded, "now it's our go" I said when I saw Jordan boot the ball up the field to Phil's feet.
Unfortunately he couldn't make anything of it as two defenders tracked him down and talked it off him.

The clock had just hit 90' and they showed 3 minutes of injury time, if nothing happens they would have to go in for a further half and hour of extra time. The game had been tight it could go either way, Declan rice had just passed the ball to saka, England were on the attack. Saka tried to dribble into the box but one of the French defenders booted it off the pitch for a corner.

Trent ran up and everyone gathered in the box,
"This is the last chance they will get" Austin said and I agreed, Trent lifted his arm signalling to his teammates before crossing the ball. It all happened in slow motion, the cross was near the edge of the box taking everyone by surprise except one person.

"Go in Jude" Austin yelled as he was the only one near the ball, Jude jumped up legs in the air and bicycle kicked the ball I took a deep breath as I watched the ball fly threw the air and past the goalkeeper into the goal.

"He did it!" Austin exclaimed giving me a hug,
As I cheered not actually believing it, "he's a hero!" He then exclaimed as we saw all the teammates pile on top of him.

The referee blew his whistle and it was full time,
"We've won!" I exclaimed, "we finally won!" I continued as Austin kissed me on the cheek.
"All thanks to your man" he cheered and I laughed, "I can't believe this, I love him so much" I said and Austin smirked as I realised what I said but I didn't care. I did love him.

We watch as all the England players celebrated with the fans and Jeremiah appeared on the screen, he was sat on Jobe's shoulders and they were jumping up and down. "I wish I was there" I said, "I think if you were there that baby would be coming out right now, no way you would have been able to control yourself" Austin laughed and so did I.

We watched the celebrations and then claimed there medals before everyone's family was allowed on the pitch, they showed Jeremiah and Ronnie running up to Phil and Jude who both picked them up and gave them there medals.
"He's loving it" I laughed and him and ronnie posed for a picture.

I soon began to feel very tired as it was now 10pm, "come Jay, let me help you up the stairs" Austin laughed and I smiled, "thank you" I replied and he nodded.

We got to the top of the stairs and I was about to go in the room so I stopped Austin, "thank you for staying with me, I know you wished you were there" I said.
"It's okay, we've always watched every international competition together, it would have been wired if you weren't there" Austin replied and I nodded giving him a hug. "Goodnight bro" I smiled, "night sis"

I got into bed and fell asleep almost straight away, we had finally won the euros.
