Avis is out with Rick's group in their makeshift camp the next morning, seated on the ground next to a sulking Daryl and Murphy. Both men picking at their food savagely, talking between themselves about searching the woods later for the missing girl, all while Avis converses with Carol and T-Dog over the fire.

"So," T-Dog starts, poking at the fire. "Where were you when this went down?"

Avis leans back against Murphy as she remembers all those months ago. "I was in a town just outside Atlanta, it was my day off and the weather was nice so I had decided to relax by reading outside."

"What book?" Carol asks, intrigued as she looks up from what she was cooking.

Avis instantly scowls, thinking of the book she dropped in her haste to flee. ""Hush, Hush'. Didn't even get to finish it before I was dropping it in shock as my 13 year old neighboor was eating the face of our local drug dealer."

"That's a shame," Murphy mutters.

"What? My book or the drug dealer?"

Murphy doesn't grace her with a reply, instead he turns back to continue murmuring quietly with his brother.

She frowns at him, offended at his lack of reply.

T-Dog shakes his head with a laugh while Carol gives a small smile. "So, it's just been you and Kendra since?"

"Oh no," She shakes her head. "I stayed holed up in my house for a few weeks before eventually running out of food so I made the decision to leave, find others. I stayed away from the cities and towns though, no sense in going in places overrun with the dead unless I needed to. Kendra found me in the woods a few weeks later struggling to open a can of peaches, offered me her knife and we've been together ever since."

"How many walkers you killed?" Andrea asks, interrupting the chattering group.

She looks anything but impressed with Avis when said girl turns to meet her gaze. "Well," Avis starts, eyebrows raised as she takes in the blond, an amused smile playing at her lips. "I'm sure more than you, blonde."

Andrea scoffs, clearly offended at her words as the others snicker, even Daryl and Muprhy who have stopped their scheming to listen. Avis watches in anticipation as Andrea opens her mouth to snap a retort but Glenn stops her from doing so. Standing nervously behind her and before the group, fidgeting anxiously as he lookes around the group.

"Um, guys," He starts, voice hesitant as he gains the attention of Shane and Dale, everyone else ignoring him in favor of their food. "So, the barn is full of walkers.

That gains the attention of everyone.
—--------------------
Soon Avis is standing next to Murphy watching Shane peer into the barn full of moaning walkers. Heart beating in her chest as the moaning grows louder the closer Shane gets.

"You cannot tell me you're all right with this." Shane growls, pushing away from the barn doors and stomping his way back to the group, face red with fury.

Rick shakes his head, hands on his hips as he tries to calm the group. "No, I'm not, but we're guests here. This isn't our land."

Avis nodded in agreement. Though she wasn't comfortable being in such close quarters to a barn full of walkers she had to admit that she and them have been nothing but safe since being here. That and Hershel was nothing but kind in letting Kendra and her stay in the comfort of his home so if the man wanted to keep a barn full of what she assumed was loved ones then by all means, she was going to let him. She had no right to interfere and neither did Shane.

"God, this is our lives!" Shane shouts.

Glenn shushes the man. "Lower your voice."

Andrea shakes her head, eyes on Shane as she speaks. "We can't just sweep this under the rug."
