Chapter 9

Liam had managed to hurry Theo inside, the chimera still gripping his ears. He felt on fire, a constant ringing was buzzing through his head. His knees still bent as Liam shoved him inside.

Thankfully his parents weren't home to witness this, how the fuck would Liam be able to explain any of this to them? Shaking his head he helped Theo up the stairs and into Theo's room. "Hey" Liam said softly.

Theo forced his eyes open, the blood had started to dry around his nose and ears. "Are you okay?" Liam asked, immediately cursing himself, cause obviously Theo wasn't okay. "I'll be okay" Theo replied. Liam nodded helping Theo to his bed.

"What did it do?" Liam asked worried. Theo sighed, "I don't even know, it was like a piercing sound rang through my head... I couldn't stand I couldn't do anything it was so loud" Theo explained, not that the information he provided really told Liam anything.

"Fuck" Liam said, with Theo sitting on the edge of the bed Liam stood up and walked to the joint bathroom they shared. Opening the door he turned the sink on, grabbing a small face cloth and wetting it.

He rang the towel out so it was only damp and walked back towards the timid chimera. Crouching in front of him he raised the rag to Theo's face. Wiping away the blood from his nose and ears he was gentle, Theo felt lost in Liam's eyes.

Watching the beta be so gentle with him was something Theo never thought was possible. Liam had always been aggressive towards him or feisty, maybe he was finally coming around to him? Or maybe Liam was finally letting his guard down.

Either way, Theo liked this. He felt safe with Liam, he knew Liam would never cause him any real harm, not intentionally at least. Plus, he's a chimera... he'll heal. "Thank you" Theo said softly, earning a small smile from Liam.

Pulling the towel down Theo grabbed his wrist, "really Liam, thank you" Theo said. For a moment they said nothing, looking deep into each others eyes Liam pulled back, clearing his throat he nodded. "It's okay" he said standing up, walking back into the bathroom.

Looking into the mirror he watched through the reflection as Theo laid down. He couldn't help but smile, quickly bowing his head down he re entered the room. "Thank you for coming with me tonight" Liam said standing at the doorway.

Theo smiled "you think I'd let you go alone?" Theo asked, a hint of amusement could be found in his tone. Liam rolled his eyes and walked towards the door to exit Theo's room, "goodnight Theo" he said giving the chimera a smile.

Theo snickered before rolling onto his side, "goodnight Liam" he said gripping at the blankets and pulling them over himself, feeling warm and safe he felt sleep begin to wash over him as he fell asleep.

Morning came quicker then Liam would have liked, to say he was not a morning person would be an understatement. Theo was growing impatient "Liam!" He snapped, standing above the beta's bed "wake up!"

Liam groaned and rolled over "go away" he mumbled. Theo shook his head and shook Liam's body "you have school, remember? The thing you deemed important and necessary!" Theo said.

When Liam didn't budge Theo made the decision to grip the beta's blankets. Pulling them down he watched as Liam crossed his arms "you're so annoying!" Liam said, feeling the cold nip at his shirtless body.

"What if I was naked?" Liam asked annoyed, thankfully he was wearing shorts. He made a mental note to never sleep naked since he now had Theo living with him. "I swear to god Liam I will drag your ass out of bed" Theo snapped.
