A/N: This is the 5th chapter I have posted this week, what the fuck? Lol I've been on a roll with writing lately hehe

Liam paced the halls of Beacon High, "I lost his scent..." Liam whines feeling defeated.

"We'll find it-" Theo reassures him.

Liam looked down, "I can't find it either..." Corey said.

"We can't lose him Theo," Liam said giving the chimera a knowing look. He really couldn't lose Mason, not him. Mason was practically his brother and he refused to lose him, he couldn't.

"Call Brett-" Liam suggested, "we need everyone's help." Theo nodded, stepping back to call the mutt. Liam turned to Corey, "did she do anything? Or say anything?" He asked.

Corey looked down, "she said she was doing what she had to do... but I couldn't see her eyes? I couldn't tell if they were black or not. I was more worried about Mason..." Corey explained.

"Brett's on his way with Nolan", Theo said jogging back towards them.

Liam nodded, "they're not here. We need to split up and try to find them," Liam decided.

Theo shook his head, "splitting up is dangerous," he stated but Liam was adamant. "Theo go with Corey, Brett and Nolan can stick together and I'll call Hayden" Liam finalised.

Theo shook his head again, not happy with this idea. "Theo don't-" Liam cut him off before he could object, "please just stay with Corey. I can handle myself and I trust Hayden to have my back." Liam said.

Theo nodded, he knew Hayden adored Liam. Not in the same way she once did but the love they still had for the other was unbreakable. They had each other's backs and they would protect the other.

"Be safe," Theo said giving him a knowing look.

"I will, you guys as well," Liam said before grabbing his phone and calling Hayden. Ignoring the missed calls from Scott he had been receiving the past few days. "Hayden" Liam said once she had answered his call, "yes, can you meet me at Mason's?" Liam asked. After she agreed he hung up and turned back to the chimeras, "check the tunnels-" Liam said.

Corey nodded, "I guess we know those tunnels better than anyone now" he shrugged.

"Trauma bonding, cute." Theo said clicking his tongue before he began walking. He hated the idea of returning there, but he knew it could be an option.

As Liam ran outside he collided with Brett's taller body, "ah Dunbar, what's going on?" Brett asked confused and worried.

"Mason! Davina has Mason, but we don't know if it's Davina or if she's possessed." Liam explained.

"Shit-" Brett said, he knew how much Mason meant to well, everyone. But especially Liam and Corey.

"Tell us what to do," Nolan said. Liam nodded, for the first time he felt like the alpha. He felt in charge and in control. He had his pack who he trusted and respected. He had their loyalty and their trust, that's all he could ever really want from them.

"Keep checking the school in case they come back," Liam said, giving them a nod before he began to walk off. But before he could get far Brett had grabbed his arm which was met with a confused look from Liam.

"Be careful, think clearly and don't act impulsively-" Brett said in a firm tone. Liam was hesitant by his words and the kindness he was showing but he found himself nodding.

"Protect each other," Liam said.

Looking between the pair before running off, out the door. He ran into the road completely missing the car that was approaching him, like a deer caught in the headlights he froze.
