A/N: Heyyyoooo! I have decided not to put chapter warnings going forward as I feel that they may spoil the fic as it progresses and take away the shock factor!

Please note this book will contain (horror, gore, detailed smut, swearing, blood, past domestic abuse, past child abuse, weapons, violence, self inflicted injuries, character death, ied, ptsd, anxiety & panic attacks) at any given time!

if you can't handle that please do not read! This is a mature fic, if you haven't realised by now lol

Mason sighed, giving his best attempt at puppy dog eyes. "No," Liam said eyeing the piece of paper in front of him. Mason decided to try his luck with Theo, turning to him with a pout and blinking a few times.

Theo raised a brow, taking the paper from him and flicking it. "Mason, your puppy dog eyes won't work on me," he said making Mason let out a frustrated sigh.

Liam turned to him victoriously before Theo continued, "however, I've never been to a school dance," he said.

Liam's shoulders slumped, "no! You're supposed to be on my side about this-" he whined.

Theo shrugged, "maybe I want to experience it," he said making Liam look down. Forgetting the fact that Theo had never had a proper childhood, of course he hasn't been to a school dance.

Truthfully neither had Liam, unless primary school dances count? When you're 11 years old and forced to dance with other students, does that count? If not, Liam had not been to a proper school dance. He hated to dance; it wasn't his thing.

"Please Liam," Mason begged.

"It's not safe, what if something happens? Or what if someone gets hurt? It's too risky," Liam stated, shaking his head.

"If we go in a group we'll be safe?" Mason suggested but Liam shut him down.

"What if something happens cause we aren't there?" Theo said in a suggestive tone.

Liam groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose "fine! We'll go," he said annoyed. Mason practically beamed with excitement "oh my god!" He smiled.

Hugging Liam he pulled out his phone to send a mass text to the 'puppy pack' Liam regretted ever calling it that. He said it as a joke because that's what Malia had called them; he didn't think it would actually stick.

But here we are, the puppy pack. It was fitting considering compared to Scott's pack they were just a bunch of puppies. "What's the dress code?" Liam asked having not actually read the piece of paper.

"Masquerade" Mason said with a smirk, raising his brows.

"Oh god," Liam rolled his eyes "that's even worse."

Theo laughed, "it'll be fun," he said.

"Far from it, what's fun about wearing a mask and dancing with a bunch of people you don't know?" Liam asked, already hating the idea of it.

"We're going and we're having fun," Theo said. Since when did he become the optimistic one? Maybe it was because of all the death and hallucinations... either way Liam didn't exactly have high hopes for this dance.

"Okay everyone's coming," Mason said placing his phone back into his pocket.

Liam's eyes widened, "no, shit Brett's in that chat" he said.

"And?" Mason asked.

"Mason, he'll want to bring Nolan! It's not safe-" Liam explained.

Over the past week Nolan had become more himself, still having moments of dissociation and possession but nothing extreme. When he was 'possessed' as Brett called it, all he did was yell and get angry. He didn't actually act on it.
