Please note, that when I wrote 'self inflicted wounds' in the book summary, I am referring to Liam digging his claws into his hand or maybe someone punching a mirror. I don't mean self harm. If there is ever self harm (cutting; ect) I will clearly state that on the chapter!! However, that is not a subject I write about. It may be referenced but I don't plan on including it as it is a sensitive subject and I don't want to trigger anybody in that way.

The car ride was silent, awkward tension still clear between the three. Arriving there, Theo put his truck into park and stepped out. Liam and Brett followed suit, looking up at the large zoo, "where is he?" Liam asked.

Brett looked down, ushering for them to follow him. As they began walking through the concrete tunnels Liam realised where they were, "are you serious?" He asked, although it was almost a growl.

Brett stopped walking, "what? It kept a human in it before. It will work again," Brett said.

Whipping his head back around he continued to walk ahead, Theo immediately sensed the beta's anxiety. Although it was coated with anger Theo knew better, he knew Liam's fear and anxiety turned into anger. "Why does this place trigger your so much?" Theo asked.

Instead of responding Liam did what he usually did, "nothing, I'm fine," he snapped. Walking past Theo and catching up to Brett, Theo sighed.

"Liam-" he called out.

"Just drop it," Liam said shaking his head, they finally reached the spot.

The same spot Brett had throw him when he was fourteen. The same cage and everything, how nostalgic. Liam couldn't help the fear he felt upon seeing the cage and Brett in the same scene. He still remembered that night, what happened and what led up to it.

The memories began to flood his brain, one more glance at Brett and he felt the wind being sucked out of him. Turning around he walked back, towards the tunnels. "What's his problem?" Brett asked frowning, instead of responding Theo followed after Liam.

Nothing had prepared him for the sight of Liam that he was about to witness. He was used to dealing with angry Liam, feisty Liam and werewolf Liam. He could handle that, he could handle him like that. But panicked and anxious Liam, he didn't know what to do.

"Liam..." Theo said softly, slowly approaching him. Liam's hand was on his chest as his breathing became laboured, feeling panic rise in him he tried to catch his breath. Pushing aside his own worries for the beta, he grabbed his hands.

"Liam look at me, I think you're having a panic attack," Theo said, ignoring the way Liam rolled his eyes in response.

"I can't help it!" Liam yelled, his breath hitching as he couldn't catch his breath.

"Liam, look at me-" Theo said.

Liam shook his head, the panic only growing stronger because now not only was he being bombarded with horrible memories but he couldn't breath. He began to get inside his head, freaking himself out more, "I can't-" Liam said.

Theo rubbed Liam's hand, "hey, you gotta breath through your nose," he said in a calm soft tone.

Liam shook his head, "I-I can't-" he said, his eye's beginning to water.

"Yes you can," Theo said rubbing the beta's back.

Theo began to slowly crouch down, hoping Liam would follow suit. Once he did, Liam allowed himself to sit onto the cold concrete, his back leaning against the wall as his hands covered his face. Theo took that chance to he move himself in between Liam's legs.

"Hey, look at me," Theo soothed, his hands once again holding Liam's. When the watery eyes of the beta finally met Theo's he nodded, desperate for this feeling to end. "Follow my lead," Theo said, demonstrating the 'in through your nose and out through your mouth' strategy.
