~Alayna's P.O.V~

As far as I can remember, I have never imagined myself getting married.

I've always been a free spirit, who has never been interested in settling down and committing myself to one person.

It just wasn't me.

Yet, somehow, I've found myself standing in between my two fathers with a long white beautiful lace gown on. My hair's been curled and pinned with a veil tucked within, and my face has been highlighted with light colored make up.

"You look so beautiful." dad comments, and I give him a small smile.

I knew he was right. I did look beautiful... but I also didn't look like me.

I felt like an actress playing a part in a movie, except this was my reality.

"Thank you, dad. I just wish the circumstances were different." I reply softly, and he gives me a sad smile as he squeezes my hand.

"We all do, sweetheart, but just hang in there. This will all be over soon." papa reassures me, leaning in and placing a soft kiss on top of my head.

The soft strums of a harp soon begin to play, followed by our signal to start our march down the aisle. I ring my arms through both of my fathers, holding tightly as if it will help stop me from making a rash decision and ruining the plan.

Every cell of my body was telling me to run, to fight, to burn everything in my sight... but I knew my thoughts were selfish.

I still was unaware of the full details of how this all came to be in the first place, but Beau had made it clear that I needed to do this. One marriage, one bedding ceremony, and we could all get the fuck out of here. Although this plan didn't sit well with me, I knew Beau wouldn't have done it if there was another way to go about it and I also knew, that the next following hours would have an effect on more then just me and him.

Although I felt alone in the moment, I had to remind myself deep down that I wasn't the only one struggling with this.

All my thoughts and feelings though are pushed away as my gaze suddenly landed on Beau, standing upon the alter, looking incredibly handsome as he waited for my arrival.

I was so focused on him, I nearly lost my footing for a moment but thankfully my fathers were quick to stable me. Giving them both a grateful squeeze, I slowly turn my attention to the rest of the area, taking in some elves on one side of the aisle, while those I had grown to love sat on the other.

My eyes widen in surprise as I notice Onyx sitting among them, as well as King Roman who I had to quickly look away from as the sight alone made me want to burn him to ash. I didn't know the full extent of what he had planned for me, but I was fully aware that he played a key role in this situation and based on what Beau had told me, their intentions with me were far from nice.

"Remember, this will all be over soon." papa whispers to me quietly, as we reach the alter.

They both give me a quick kiss on the cheek before helping me step onto the alter and making their way over to join my loved ones.

My eyes immediately meet with Beau's and a warm feeling spreads through my chest as I notice the admiration in his eyes as he takes in my appearance.

"We are gathered here today to witness the marriage between Alayna Knight and Beau Algar. This union is to be joined for the betterment of both our realms and others. This sacred oath must not be taken lightly by either party and should it be broken, punishment will ensue. Are their any disagreements before we continue?" the man standing between us states, and it takes every ounce of self control to not shout 'yes I fucking disagree'.

I swallow back all the words that want to come flying out and do my best to focus on Beau.

After a moment of silence, the man continues.

"Please, take hold of each other's hands" he tells us, and Beau easily grips both of my hands within his.

It was the most intimate thing that has ever happened between us and despite it being such a small and simple gesture, his grip brought me a sense of security and peace.

"Do you, Beau Algar, vow an oath to maintain order within your wife. To ensure obedience, control and protection, and to take action should she go against her oaths?" the man asks Beau, and the words that leave his mouth leave me both shocked and utterly disgusted.

I can feel my hands warming, ready to burst into flames and burn the tongue out of this elven fuck's mouth but Beau grips them tightly and narrows his eyes at me pleadingly to control myself.

"I do." he states calmly, and I suck in a sharp breath as I battled with my rising anger.

Every part of me wanted to explode, but deep down I knew I couldn't. I could tell that these elves already thought horribly of me, and exploding and taking my anger out on them would only fuel their hatred and fear towards me, stopping any chance of me getting out of here.

"Do you, Alayna Knight, vow an oath to submit your whole self to your husband. To obey and follow under his every command and accept any punishment should you disregard him?" the man asks me, and I have to swallow back the rising bile in my throat before replying.

"I do." I grit out, struggling to keep my composure.

"With this ribbon, I unite the two of you. As one, to climb or fall together, till death takes your souls." he states, as he wraps a thin white ribbon around our conjoined hands.

He suddenly shuts his eyes and begins to chant in their language and the ribbon suddenly tightens around our hands, to the point that both of us lose our breaths. For a moment, everything seems to go black but as fast as it comes, it goes and with it... so does the ribbon.

"You may kiss your wife." the man grins, before stepping away, and all I can do is look at Beau in complete shock before he leans in and gives me a quick peck.

"Now, let us all celebrate!" the king of elves cheers.

"Um, Beau... what happened to the ribbon?" I ask uneasily, and he gives me a small frown.

"The magic within the ribbon made it dissipate when it was absorbed into our skin, truly uniting us for life." he explains, and my jaw drops.

"What the actual fuck." I state.

"I know, princess, but I promise just because it binds us, doesn't mean we have to follow those disgusting oaths or even be together. We will just always have some sort of connection from here on out. Nothing more, I promise. Once we get out of here, your free, just as you were before." he reassures me, but I can't help but feel uneasy.

"Your positive?" I ask, and he nods his head.

"I wouldn't have agreed to those vows if they had any affect on the magical effect within the ribbon. It's only made to connect us on a deeper level, nothing more. Almost like a blood connection, just magical." he explains, and I let out a small sigh of relief.

"All right, I trust you. Now, how about we go get drunk, husband. Before we put on our little live action sex show." I smirk playfully, and he rolls his eyes but nods his head.

"A drink after all this, does sound good... but don't over do it. We still need to have our heads on straight for afterwards." he replies.

"Whatever you say, daddy." I retort playfully, before grabbing his hand and pulling him towards our eagerly waiting loved ones.

I had no doubt we would all need a couple drinks to get us through the rest of the night.
