"I don't care. The wedding was set for tonight, she will wed my brother within the hour. Get her up and get her dressed, mother." Aegon sneered from his bed at Alicent as he woke from his slumber.

"Do you have any idea what she has done for you? She saved us all. Your mother. Your wife. Your children. And you sit there heartless to torture the poor girl more after all she's done for you." Alicent scoffed.

"As I recall this wedding was your idea, mother." Aegon gritted through his teeth.

"Postpone it! Have it on the morrow. Do you have any idea what that girl is going through right now?! She is lost once more and this time much more than before!" Alicent threw her hands up, shouting at the top of her lungs.

"GOOD! I HOPE SHE FEELS AS EMPTY AS I DO! SHE MURDERED MY FUCKING DRAGON!" Aegon's voiced boomed through his chambers, sending Alicent stepping back quickly from him.

Aegon didn't care about losing any of them. He lost his dragon. That was where it hurt him. He had no wings, was broken and the cause of it all laughed in his face and stripped away his power in front of all his subjects.

He didn't care if his people loved him. He only cared they feared him, never questioning his authority as king. His word was absolute power and if anyone had to say anything, he'd command Sunfyre to sort them out.

Now he was nothing but a broken, burned false king.

He slumped back against his pillow and sighed when he saw the horror on his mother's face. "Have my brother come to me. I need to speak with him. That's an order."

Daemon and Rhaenyra watched Rhaena proudly from the top of the cliffs by the shores as she walked with her baby dragon under the moonlight. She'd been so happy and lively since her egg cracked, it was exactly what Dragonstone needed.

They didn't need a win. They just needed something good. All of them had grown so dark and consumed by grief, they'd nearly forgotten the warmth that once filled their hearts.

But they were all reminded as they watched another dragon princess get her wings.

"Daena would be so happy right now. I'd imagine the two of them would never separate from their lessons." Daemon's voice was hoarse and cracked, but he kept it together. Rhaenyra's hand slid into his, giving it a gentle squeeze.

She gave him a soft smile. "We'll get her back, I promise. If she's anything like her father...they'll be praying our armies make it to them first."

"I'm not so sure all of them would feel the same." Daemon sucked at his teeth, looking off to the waters.

"I gave Daena my word that his life was in her hand's. If he is still living, there is a reason. And I trust our daughter more than I trust him." She was firm with her words.

"My daughter would never forgive him for what he did to her. To her brother." He hissed, snatching his hand away.

Though in truth, it was his greatest fear his daughter had been sucked back into the arms of the same man that brought his family so much misery.

The same man from the family that took both his sons. The same family who took most of his family's dragons. The same family who hurt his wife.

"I am not asking you to trust Aemond. I am asking you to not do anything until I give the command. I want us to speak with her before we do anything." She said.

"I just don't get why he'd hand the shriveled cunt right over so eagerly." Daemon huffed, but didn't see the way his wife pursed her lips nervously before forcing a tight smile.
