***Violence and major deaths this chapter. I worked so hard on this chapter, I apologize for anyone asking where Rhaenys is, but please remember🗣️Issa Fanfic. My story, my rules. Anyways, a lot of emotions this chapter. I wish you all luck🫡***

"He said burning! There's no way 500 men can storm a castle and burn all their crops at once. Not to that magnitude! I'm telling you mother, it's a trap!" Jace was desperate as he shoved the scroll in her mother's face practically.

"Do you think the kinslayer is there?" Rhaenyra looked up from the scroll, trying to stable her breath.

"I think they're all there. I told you. Daeron said Daena was next when he and I fought. That's why I wanted to go with her." He was about to pull his own hair out, he was so frustrated.

"I can take Moondancer." Baela raised her head proudly. "I handled my own well enough in battle as did my dragon. Let me protect my sister."

"I'm coming with you." Rhaenyra added with a nod, but Jace stepped between the two.

"Mother, you cannot go. You're our Queen. Fly to Daemon if you have to! She won't stand a chance against all three of them and if we lose either of you, we lose this war." Jace pleaded.

Rhaenyra considered her son, then looked back at Baela. "Baela, take Moondancer to Rook's Rest. Her father will be down to join you shortly."

Come. The end of the castle. I'll meet you there.

Daena steadied her breath as she watched the dragons growing bigger in her view. Lord Staunton slammed the door behind him with a lock.

"Craven." She scoffed under her breath before running the opposite way towards the end of the castle.

"I see you, bastard!" Daeron taunted as he neared the castle with Aegon and Aemond trailing close behind him.

Daena leapt from the edge of the castle just as Silverwing swooped in to catch her on her back. The shedragon was accompanied by her mate at her side, both charging right towards all three dragons.

Vermithor broke apart, entangling with Sunfyre and Tessarion as they all clawed and bit at each other. Silverwing dipped under the group and shot back up, and crashed right into Vhagar's jaws.

Vhagar let out a scream as the two shedragon fought. Silverwing had a strong hold over the war dragon's head, but Vhagar kept jerking her neck around to shake the younger dragon off her.

Keep her distracted. I'll be back.

Daena grabbed one of the spears she had on the side of her saddle. She slowly started to rise from the saddle, waiting for the perfect opportunity. Vhagar's head snapped up finally and Daena jumped from her saddle with no hesitation.

She aimed her spear to stabilize her landing, plunging it right into Vhagar's lower back as she held on for dear life. Vhagar screeched in pain and Aemond turned around in his saddle with his eye widened in astonishment.

"Kinslayer! Come here!" She shouted as she withdrew her dagger while slowly making her way along the squirming beast beneath her.

She knew Vhagar would freak out with an unknown rider on her back on top of fighting off another dragon clawing around her head. It wasn't about controlling the beast. It was about knocking her rider off.

Aemond could see the fire and will in her eyes, even from the other end of his dragon. He looked between her and his brothers below, struggling on their own with the ruthless Bronze Fury. He made a judgment call and sliced right through his harness to break free from the saddle.
