"Can I fly when we cross?" Little Aegon looked up at Daena with a slight pout. She held his hand close at her side with Viserys on her other side resting on her hip.

"When it is safe, I'm sure your brother will let Stormcloud stretch his wings." Daena gave a soft squeeze to his hand. They stood before the ship that would keep them apart for what could be weeks or even years. None of them knew. She knelt down in front of him, now resting little Viserys on her knee with her arm around him. "The important thing is we keep you all safe. There are bad, bad people out there right now and we're going to keep them away from you all."

"I could help, Dany." Aegon huffed and suddenly a tear sprung from Daena's eye. Dany. No one had called her that since...

She choked up for a moment before pressing a kiss to his forehead. She held her breath as she tried to force her strained sob deep down. With a shaky breath, she said as sternly as she could. "You can help by protecting your brother and sister. You remember what we went over with Stormcloud right?"

"Be his friend first, master last." Aegon nodded in as strong a voice he had.

"Exactly, Egg." She chuckled at how tough her little brother was trying to be for them all. So much bravery and courage at such a young age. At one point she would've thought him to be exactly like their father, but she only saw her mother in him now.

"Will you come visit, sissy?" Aegon asked. Viserys was picking at the ring on Daena's hand. A little crown just like the one their mother wore.

"I will if I can, you know I will." She gave him one last kiss on his forehead before leading him over to Rhaena, who was holding a pink egg at her side proudly. "I see you've finally made your choice, sister."

"I know she'll be beautiful too. Perhaps more beautiful than Silverwing even." Rhaena teased and Daena fake scoffed.

"Careful, my sweet girl is sensitive to competition." Daena chuckled.

"Much like her rider, I know." Rhaena arched an eyebrow at her sister and all the humor vanished in her face as she handed Viserys over. "I'm just happy it was a blow to the greens, but...Daena, are you sure you're going to be able to carry out his execution?"

"Do you question my loyalty to our Queen?" Daena clenched her jaw, tying her hands behind her back.

"No, I just...we all know what Aemond meant to you-."

"He meant nothing to me." She spat but then shifted slightly to calm down to not frighten her brothers. "That Kinslayer has stolen my title, my memory, my virtue, my mother's throne, my br...the least I can finally do is take his head for everything he has taken from me."

"Does your heart die with him too?" Rhaena could see everything bottling inside her sister, refusing to come out. She worried Daena would do something reckless one day and everyone would burn or she would perish in her anger.

"I beg your pardon." Daena scoffed, taking a step back.

"Don't turn into our father over Luke's death, sister." Rhaena tried to take a step towards her sister, but Daena quickly shuffled back with her hands up. Looking ready to burst at any moment.

"Don't...don't you dare tell me how to handle myself in all of this when I am doing everything I can to avenge him." Daena hissed. She gave her brothers one last, longing look before turning on her heel and storming off.

It was nightfall when Rhaena sat with her two little brothers in front of two eggs. One pink, one golden. The little dragon princes took turns brushing the hardened scales of the shell. Each time they'd both light up with pure delight. Something Rhaena desperately needed to see after just the beginning of war.
