I woke up in a dark room. I looked outside and realized I was on top of a building.
"Where...where am I?", I said groggily.
"You're on top of the balcony", Malik said.
"Wait, he got you too?"
"Yeah, I can't remember what happened. I just woke up and my hands and feet were tied up", he replied.
I sighed.
"Was it Tyson?"
"Yeah."
I looked around. The room was completely empty.
"Where's Jamar?", I asked crying.
"He'll be here."
As I lay my head against the wall I heard a knock at the window.
I looked up. It was my dad.
"Dad!"
"Shhhh, I don't want anyone to hear us", he replied.
He climbed in with a a blade in his hands.
"Are you guys ok?"
"Yes", I said.
"Yep."
He untied us and helped us out the window.
"Now how we're going to get down, I don't know", my dad said.
I looked up.
"That's too far to jump."
"I know."
Malik handing us a rope.
"Maybe we could use this", he said.
My dad smiled.
"This will do."
One, by one we went down the rope. It landed us a little closer to the bottom.
"Now-"
My dad was interrupted by a huge boom sound.
"What was that?!", I asked
"I don't know!"
We looked around.
"Wait, I know that sound from anywhere", Malik said.
He pointed inside.
As the door slung open, my eyes lit up. It was Jamar. His chest was bleeding and in his hand was a bear mask.
"Jamar!"
He gave me a hug.
"Hey baby."
"You're ok."
"Yeah, and Tyson's old news", he replied throwing the bear mask down.
I smiled.
"He's really gone?"
"Yeah. And he put up a good fight. But he's no beast."
Malik came up to us.
"I'm so glad to see you man", he said.
"You too."
They hugged.
My dad sighed and hit Jamar's arm.
"Why didn't you tell us what happened to Zion and Mrs. Donna?", he asked.
Jamar looked down.
"Because it wasn't the right time Mr. Poole."
He shook his head.
"I can't even begin to imagine the pain that they went though."
Jamar nodded.
"Me either."
I took a breath.
"Jamar?"
He turned around.
"Yes?"
"I didn't-"
"We have to go guys", Malik said interrupting me.
Jamar smiled and touched my face.
"Tell me later", he said.
I nodded.
"Ok."
As the police sirens started to screech through the city we quickly took the stairs to exit the building.
"It's not over", I thought. "Not yet."
