Sara Jay Palmer

I still find it unusual to be around Mason. Even when his friends treat me like invisible, he makes me feel like I'm so interesting. He even invited me to watch his soccer practice which I agreed to hesitantly. But still I agreed.

I sat at the second from the farthest bench on the field as Mason and his teammates practice. I pull out my journal as I jot down the things I just knew about him. He is arrogant but nice. I know this is not enough so I have to observe him more.

I am starting to give up on this task when I heard Mason called out my name and I snapped my head up.

Mason Green

I called her name as she snapped her head up. Her eyes looked at me innocently and I just realized that a part of me loves it.

"You wanna go maybe somewhere after practice?" I reached for the water bottle and looked at her drinking everything. "Uhm... Okay." And she managed to smile. Oh god that smile. I smiled back and she continued writing something. So I went back to practice feeling really excited for later.

"Nice house." She mumbled silently as I closed the door behind her. My mom suddenly popped out of nowhere and decided to be awkward.

"Hey honey. Who is this beauty?" she giggled like a school girl.

"Hi. I'm Sara Jay Palmer. I'm here for the school paper." Her smile reached the crinkle of her eyes that I swear I felt like looking at an angel.

"Is that what they call it these days?" she grinned at her and at me. I looked at Sara and she looked so lost and confused.

"Mom. Cut it out. It's for the school paper." I groaned as she walked back to the kitchen.

"Whatever you say Mason. Just stay safe okay?" and I can hear her giggles from the living room.

Sara looked at me and when she realized she's blushing hard, she looked away fidgeting. I was trying to fight a smile as this innocent girl in front of me blushed because my mom is so awkward.

"Sorry about that. Wanna check my room?" I pointed upstairs and she just nodded.

She looked around as I flunked on my bed. Finally, bed. A part of me wanted to sleep already but a part of me wanted Sara sleeping with me. Literally sleeping, okay?

I saw her took out her notebook and started scribbling. "What's your favorite color?" she didn't look up and her glasses are starting to slide off.

"Isn't it obvious?" She looked up noticing that my room's color is green, the bed is green and every cabinet is green, even the inner part of the door. "Right. Green it is." She pursed her lips together which made me wanted to kiss it. Kiss her? Mason are you alright? She barely knows you! You just talked this morning and you wanted to kiss her already? You are a pervert.

"Any allergies?" "Are you my doctor?" I smiled at her but she looked so nervous. So I patted the space beside me and invited her to sit. "Just kidding. I'm allergic to chocolates. And sit here, come on." She looked at me with wide eyes. "You're allergic to chocolates? How could anyone be allergic to chocolates? Oh god life must be hard." The horror on her face seemed to amused me.

"It was a little bit sad but I got used to not eating chocolates. And come sit here." She walked towards me slowly and finally sat. "That is so sad." She mumbled silently.

The night dragged on with questions and answers that somewhere along the way I fell asleep. I woke up with a heavy pushing on my chest. I blinked many times to see that Sara fell asleep too, but on my chest. How did this happen? Though to tell you honestly, I am not complaining. Her head on my chest seemed to be a perfect fit. I was about to go back to sleep when my door suddenly flung open with an overjoyed and ecstatic mother grinning widely at me while Sara was still sleeping like a rock.

"Oh sorry. Are you done? Dinner's ready?" I mentally face palmed myself.

"Mom! We're not doing anything." I whispered loudly. My mother thinks really bad of me huh?

"It's really normal dear. Anyway, wake her up and I'll wait for you downstairs." She beamed her white teeth at me and left. I looked back at Sara who was still sleeping. I really wanted to kiss her and I don't know why. I've never been so attached to any girl like this before. Why am I feeling like this? Shrugging my thoughts beside, I leaned down and kissed her forehead.

Sara Jay Palmer

It's embarrassing enough to fall asleep on Mason's bed and having dinner with her mother is more. She seemed too ecstatic seeing another human being aside from her son in her house. I sat across Mason at the dining table.

"So where how long are you and Mason together?" I don't know if she was really a cheery person but the food in my throat got stuck because of that question and I am so close at dying by chocking. The worst case scenario is that they would have to slit my neck just to take out some random food clumping greedily.
