Mason Green
Here I am, seating just inches away from Sara, who looked so absorbed watching the movie that I 'rented' while I am sweating bullets. How could I only realize how beautiful she is! We've been classmates since I don't know middle school? And how come I never noticed? How come I never notice how pretty her smile is, how beautiful her long auburn hair is, her cute smirks and that look she had when she's embarrassed? How Mason? How can you be so utterly blind?
I saw from my peripheral vision that she shifted a little towards me? Oh god. Will she lean on me? Should I offer a pillow? I totally suck at this.
I was so focused viewing her actions peripherally that I realized I totally missed the movie.
"That's really cool. Though I personally think they should have added more mystery." She wiped the sides of her mouth after eating a large fork-full of pasta. I suddenly noticed how plump her lips are. And maybe I was caught in daze when she started calling my name again.
"Uhm I'm sorry. Yes more mystery." I looked at her and she gave me a confused look.
"Mason, I was talking about that minutes ago. I just asked you if what activities is there tomorrow so I can observe." Her brow furrowed in confusion and I can feel the blush creeping on my face.
"Uh sorry. Well I have soccer practice after class." I stared at my now empty bowl of pasta. I am acting really ridiculous. I have a silly crush on Sara and I act like it's my first time. I've been into so many relationships but all are started by sex. And this one isn't. Did I just call this relationship?
"Penny for your thoughts?" she leaned closer as if peaking at my eyes. Oh god her eyes. How come I never noticed how light they were?
"Uh nothing. Just some strategies for the game." She stared at me with question. I was expecting her to ask more but she kept silent instead.

I went home feeling a little giddy. It must be the pasta.
No you idiot. But why do I feel like this? Sure, Mason invited me over and her mom left as soon as I set foot in their house. But everything went okay so why am I so giddy?
Maybe it's my gut telling me something's going to happen? Like what? A thunderstorm? Tornado? Tsunami? The worst case scenario is the earth being sucked in by a black hole. But I don't think that's happening today. Or will it?
