I wake up sore from last night's events. I bury my face in Tom's neck and kiss it. I think that woke him up cause I feel him rubbing my back.

"Tom you're gonna have to come with me to work today so I can make it through." I hear Tom chuckle and I feel him pull away and sit up. Georg must've woken up because he pulls away as well. I sit up and wince from the pain. Tom takes hold of my hand and the pain eases. I'm finally able to get out of bed and change into something for work. I turn to Tom who's sitting on my bed.

"Aren't you gonna get dressed, Tom?" I raise an eyebrow at him. He stands up and scrambles to get into his room to get dressed. I laugh at his antics and head downstairs to get a snack. I grab an apple and eat it. When I finish the apple Tom runs downstairs. I laugh and he smiles at me.

"You ready babe?" Tom leans against the wall trying his best to look sexy. I chuckle and throw out my apple core. I walk up to Tom and grab his hand pulling him toward the front door. We get to my car and get in. On the drive to work Tom points something out.

"Oh shit, Georg left some marks." I feel him place his hand on my neck. When I park the car I get out my phone turning on the selfie camera. I turn my head slightly and see that my neck is covered in hickeys. I sigh and turn off my phone. I get out of the car and head into the back door with Tom following me. I tell him where to sit and I grab my apron setting up the coffee machines. I hear the back door open and Emily comes in she looks at my neck and gasps.

"YOU WHORE!!!" She runs over to me and starts to move my head back and forth to get a good look at all the marks on my neck.

"So which guy was it? I bet it was the goth one I bet he's secretly a freak. Oh my god is it the guy you brought today? Wait why do you know so many guys? Do they know about each other?" I put my hands on Emily's shoulders to stop her rambling.

"Emily I'm dating all of them and they know."

"So you're in a poly?"

"Yes." Now that Em has finally calmed down I ask her to help me set up for open. Throughout the day she asks me more questions.

"So which one's have you y'know?" I roll my eyes at her question

"All of them."

"Oh, what are their names?"

"Georg is the one with long brown hair. Bill is the goth one. Tom is the one with me today and Gustav has yet to come to work with me."

"So there are four in all?"

"Yes Em, now get back to work you're gonna burn the coffee grounds." I sigh and continue making the vanilla latte that the girl waiting at the counter ordered.

Em's shift finally ends and she asks me one more question.

"So who left the marks?"

"Georg."

"Damn it, I really thought it'd be Bill." She hangs up her apron and heads out the door. I head over to Tom's table and lay my head down on it. He chuckles.

"You're friend is pretty curious huh?" He places his hand on my head and runs his fingers through my hair.

"Yeah too curious, but I love that about her, she has all the energy in the world." I raise my head from the table to see Tom smiling at me. I smile back and lean over the table to give him a peck on the lips. My second-shift coworker walks through the door and I wave at him. He smiles and waves back I head to the back and hang up my apron.

"You're going out for your break for once?" Derrick gives me a confused look and I laugh.

"Yeah, I'm starving." I wave at Derrick and head over to Tom motioning for him to follow me. He gets up and we head over to the small sandwich place next door. I order something and sit at a table with Tom.

"So anyone suspicious come in?" I look up at Tom and he shakes his head.

"No, there were a few non-humans that came in but they weren't hostile they just wanted coffee."

"So there are more than just you guys and Jason's crew."

"Yeah, a few elves and fairies came in today. A lot of creatures are actually fairly integrated into human society because they're raised and taught around humans. Like your friend Emily, she's a fairy. She actually had a pretty hefty protection spell on you when we first found you Bill had to break it to even get close to you. It only really affected Bill and I. I think it was a blessing spell to ward off low-level demons."

"What! Em's been a fairy the whole time?!" My mouth is open in shock.

"Yeah, I'm surprised Bill didn't tell you, he gets super chatty when he meets other non-humans."

"Also before we get back to the subject of Em, what did you mean by low-level demons?"

"Oh yeah, like demons that don't have physical bodies in the human realm, they're the ones that cause possession and do the things humans blame ghosts for."

"So possessions aren't done by powerful demons?"

"Hell no we have way more important things to do with our time."

Tom and I continue talking until the alarm on my phone goes off signaling that I need to head back to work. I finish off my sandwich and throw away my trash. Tom and I head back to the cafe and I head to the back to grab my apron.

"You enjoy your lunch?" Derrick is smiling at me. I nod.

"Yeah, it was nice to go out for once." I look over at Tom and smile to myself.

Plus I got to learn something new today.
