Baby Bunny Badger joins quidditch]

{My child has surprising strength~}

He figured this would happen one day ever since the school had teachers like Charity and those before her that would bring forth a unity of muggles and wizards. Hell, he knew this would happen when the other three founders spoke of having lesser than pure bloods within their halls even during the early days (he was still mad that they weren't thinking about the repercussions of a half-blood or muggle born bragging about the school and starting a witch hunt!)

But this? This had to be a new one in all the years he hung on the wall. Salazar watched with mild interest as his mudblood of an heir worked in the late hours with that 'counter top oven' that settled on his desk, earlier he had asked the house elves for a list of ingredients to make...whatever it is he was up to. Salazar wasn't going to lie, it was a new sight to see given the time of night it was, surely the boy could've asked the house elves for the food itself instead of making it by hand and without magic like a muggle would.

"And what exactly are we up to this ungodly hour?" Salazar finally asked, watching the boy pause in his work.

Chrys looked up at the painting, in his arms was a bowl and spoon, he looked at the contents of the bowl before looking up at Salazar with a light shrug. "Making peanut butter cookies."

"I can see that, but why exactly? You know you could have one of the house elves make them."

A soft hum as Chrys began to put the dough on the baking trays he had. "Well, I'm craving them for one and I also want enough to give to the puppy on the third floor."

That got Salazar's full attention, he leaned on his staff and looked at him with a light narrowed eye look. "The same third floor you children aren't supposed to go to?"

"Are you going to tell on me?" Chrys asked, turning to meet the portrait again.

"It's completely unethical." Salazar agreed with a low nod, "However...I won't lie and say this wouldn't be something any of my other students would do, it takes quite the amount of cunning to pull this off."

Was he really encouraging him to do this? Chrys shrugged and continued on his mission, he just focused on baking the cookies for the night, this would last for some time. The entire suite was smelling like peanut butter when he opened the door to take his new goods out with him; fresh batches of peanut butter cookies resting in his basket as he left the Slytherin dorm.

Was this against the school rules? Most definitely. Would he be doing this every night? Yes, definitely, absolutely. If there was one thing that Chrys was most thankful for when it came to how Hogwarts ran things; it was their insane persistence on using firelight instead of any other forms of lights, that and even if they did, he would still be doing this. Using his robes to blend with the cover of the night and taking great care of his steps to not make an echoing sound, Chrys made his way through the castle halls yet again; it was only recently that he'd began visiting the three-head dog every night to provide the being some company, no doubt the dog would be pretty lonely at times and Uncle Alex did say to never leave pups alone. Of course, he probably wasn't referring to giant three-headed dogs.

There was another reason he wanted to earn that dog's trust; Cora mentioned that the dog was standing on a trapdoor, and Draco had mentioned that Hogwarts had various types of secrets – especially when it came to Salazar Slytherin hiding some things from the other founders. If he could earn the dog's trust, he could see about investigating the strange door. That was the plan at least, but at the moment, even he knew it would be too soon for the dog to even consider him a friend. So, what was the plan? Go in, give the dog space and let the dog approach him.
