"Welcome Lions, to the Slytherin house." Draco greeted with pride. "The best of the best lives down here in the elegance left behind by Salazar Slytherin himself, we even have our own aquarium that is the Black Lake which we can see through the many windows here." He folded his hands together. "I know you're envious, but if you're good boys and girls I can bring you here to see the mermaids every once in a while."

Even if she was friends with Draco to some extent, Hermione couldn't help but to feel slightly annoyed at the slight jabbing remark he made. Perhaps that was just his default language, perhaps Slytherins just had their own language that was lost among the other houses? Whatever the case, it was clear that he wasn't saying this out of malice but rather pride for his house, and she couldn't blame him; the Slytherin dorm had an elegant charm despite the cold aesthetic, it could very well be mistaken as a vampire's lair with how dark it was.

They couldn't stay long to admire the grandeur of the common room, Draco guided the trio to the statue of Salazar Slytherin and looked up at him before reciting the guest password; "The Lord welcomes us." The statue moved and the stairs appeared before the group walked into the exclusive suite. Still as elegant as everything else, with some exceptions to the rule; everyone was greeted to a variety of wall scrolls, bookshelves filled with manga and a variety of other topics, Chrys' ebony cello that sat in a corner and well maintained, board games on the higher shelves, figurines, band posters...Harry remembered that Chrys packed his entire bedroom into his trunk, but he thought his parents made him leave some things at home!

"What on earth did Chrys have to do to get a room like this?" Ron asked in awe as he sat at the mahogany desk where his muggle stationary was. "I don't think Gryffindor Tower has a room like this!"

"Ah, the Gryffindors are gracing our noble halls. I see our heir has deemed you worthy of the Slytherin sanctum. It's a rare occasion to have lions wander into the serpent's lair." Salazar looked down at them from his painting. "As for what Chrysanthos did for this room, I had a test in place for this house – more specifically one of his heirs, it's really simple; talk to a snake and calm it down."

Draco nodded before opening the trunk from their Hogsmeade adventure. "Well, out of the others, Chrys was able to settle the serpent that Snape had brought in, because of that he was deemed worthy enough to be granted this suite."

"The serpent test has been a tradition in our house for ages. Chrysanthos' ability to communicate and placate the serpent showcased his unique connection to our lineage." Salazar explained with a light nod, "I do wish he hadn't..." He looked at the room with a light wince. "...decorated, the place with those muggle media of his..."

"Is he always like this?" Harry asked, looking at Draco, Draco just nodded. "Fair enough."

After Draco had set things out into two piles and looked up at Ron. "Grab whatever black pen you can find on Chrys' desk and bring it here..." He looked at Harry and Hermione. "Did you bring the wrapping paper?" he watched as Hermione took out a few small objects and casted Engorgio to bring them to full sized tubes of wrapping paper. "Perfect."

Harry held up a set of scissors and tape. "This is going to be a nightmare." He muttered lightly, ignoring the glare from Draco. "We'll be up all night at this rate, where's Chrys going to sleep if we're in here?"

Draco waved his hand dismissively "I told him he could have my room for the night if we're not finished here, he stared at me with that expression of his but reluctantly agreed. Honestly, I don't see why he's that upset, the regular dorms are just as nice as the suite, maybe a tier lower but still just as elegant."

"I don't think that's why he's upset." Hermione shook her head and grabbed another pair of scissors as well as the Zatch Bell box set of the group. "I mean, I'd be upset if my room was taken over and I'd have to sleep in someone else's room for the night." she looked it over and shrugged, she'd have to ask Cora to borrow this later.
