The school was in a bit of chaos, students were in a rush to get everything they needed packed for the upcoming holiday break; exams for the semester had been taken and everyone was breathing relief as they mostly returned to their dorms, friends were talking about holiday plans and that was really all that filled the majority of the halls, including the ghosts singing carols.
The only group that didn't do such were the Misfits; they were seated together at the great hall with books piled beside them as they were reading on everything they could regarding the ingredients that Professor Snape have given them and even going as far as they could to try to find a general revival potion to narrow the fields down. The field of their successes were slim and to the point of wanting to throw something into the nearby fireplace out of frustration was evident.
Deciding it was best to take a break, Chrys left the Slytherin dorm with his cello case; he wasn't certain where Draco, Crabbe, and Goyle were but it didn't bother him. They were probably in the library with Hermione looking into Nicholas Flamel, that wasn't his focus now, his focus was going to be in the Great Hall for the time being. Setting up his chair - that he may or may not have taken from the staff table, Chrys settled and started playing. Letting the strings sing Silver Bells to the empty hall.
The low tone of the instrument rang out and summoned the ghosts to him, he smiled as he watched who he presumed was the Gray Lady waltzing in the air with the Bloody Baron to the song; Nick led some of the others to a singalong. Chrys just smiled lightly at the scene and let his own tenor voice ring alongside them, somewhere along the song a sweet voice and a violin rang out beside him. Looking to his right he saw a familiar Hufflepuff beside him; Hikari Kirimoto, she smiled sweetly at him and winked as the two continued.
Even though this holiday meant nothing to him, he wouldn't lie and say that the performance was pleasing. Mr. Kibutjsui watched the two for a while before making his way to the staff table with the other teachers. Already he was scowling when he saw a missing chair, technically two chairs but the second belonged to the Headmaster and Miss Kirimoto had claimed it as hers. But his? No matter, he could just steal another's.
Muzan strolled over to Snape's chair and grabbed it, yanking it out from underneath the potions Professor, sending the man sprawling to the floor. "This is mine now." Muzan said, easily dragging the chair away.
"I think not!" Snape spat, grabbing onto the chair.
"Oh come on!" Muzan hissed, tugging the chair away. "You can just summon a new one!"
"So could you!" Snape countered.
"Yes but I don't want to." Muzan replied. "Not when I can just take yours."
Chrys was grinning as he continued to play without skipping a note, Hikari had a light grin on her face as well. As the song ended, the two went through some music sheets before settling on something with a bit more...bounce to it; Chrys had started things off by plucking a few strings getting ready to start things up.
Before they could start, a voice spoke up, "What did you guys do?" Chrys looked over to see Akari standing there with an instrument of her own, a beautiful golden flute. He smiled and nodded to the teachers with a light shrug and innocent looking face.
"We've done nothing, we've been here serenading the Great Hall." He motioned to the students pouring in. "Giving festive holiday cheer!"
"Right..." Akari took another chair from the teacher's spot and sat on Chrys' left. "So what are we playing?"
"Carol of the bells." Chrys decided.
"I don't think I've heard that before... you start playing it and I'll follow along as best I can." Akari replied.
