Hosun was early this Monday, sitting on her usual bench, desperately waiting for Yoonji to come to her rescue, it had become a habit by then, but this time she was in need for real emotional advice —Which, you may say, was stupid to ask Yoonji about, of all people— as she was facing a great dilemma. Yoonji went through the gates of the university and noticed Hosun sitting at their spot, she sighed and changed directions to join her, she looked tired —I mean, more than usually—. She sat next to her, Hosun felt like something wasn't right, she smelled weird, like... alcohol?
«Go on, I'm listening.» She invited.
«Hum... Yeah, sorry for bothering you this early, but... I've been thinking a lot recently... about... something that's been bothering me. Can't get it out of my head since... I figured maybe you had some advice.»
«Me? Are you fr?» Yoonji stared at her, incredulous.
«Yeah... I mean, you gave me good advice last time... so...»
The older raised her shoulders «Go on then.»
«Well, you see, last weekend we had a sort of double date with Jimin, like there was her boyfriend and a friend of hers.» Yoonji looked at her silently «And... I thought that her friend, Soyeon, was really cool and nice... And Jimin really seemed to want us together so I thought... maybe... Just maybe I could like... try...?» The cat nodded «So uh... I thought long and hard about it and at first it felt like cheating, because Jimin will always be my only true love, but then... I remembered that that's only onesided, and Jimin just wants to see me happy with someone else so like... I thought it'd be okay if I tried.... What say you?»
«You sure do talk a lot early in the morning.» She sighed. «But I agree, you should move on.»
«Oh...»
«What? You said you wanted advice, so here you have it, you should not stick to Jimin because she's not into you.»
«Ouch, sounds a bit harsh said like that.»
«Reality's hard, kid.»
«I'm literally one year younger than you.»
«And that makes you a baby, henny, get on track.» she closed her eyes and extended her arms in front of her, yawning , like cats do.
«Alright grandma.» She smirked, which made Yoonji to gasp.
Jimin appeared at this same instant, interrupting their bickering. «Hi unnies! What's up?» She smiled and sat between them, which made Yoonji tense and stick to the very end of the bench.
Did that bitch ever hear about personal space?
Hosun spoke briefly. «Nothin', just talkin' y'know... Catchin' up.»
«Oh that's great! You two get along really well, I wish Yoonji unnie opened up to me like she does to you~» She poked the older's cheek, the latter slapped her hand away.
Awkward silence. Girl, crickets.
Yoonji sighed and got up. «Bye, gotta go to class.» She disappeared into the building. Hosun panicked.
She seriously abandoned me?? What a bitch, I'm gonna kill her next time!
«I think she likes me!» Jimin joked.
«Mh-mhh» The older responded evasively.
«Hosun unnie...»
«Ah! Hum yes...?»
«Well hum... I wanted to talk to you, because, last time we saw each other it was during the double date, so... I wanted to make sure it didn't make you uncomfortable, I mean, I made a mistake... I should never have planned that shit, because, I never asked you if you were okay with it and I didn't want to force you to have a date... and Haesung was a bit mean to you... I thought it was a good idea but it wasn't... I'm so sorry! I would never do that to you again Sunny... I really feel like crap,» She looked down as she fiddled with her sleeve, guilt written all over her face.
