"yes! i have been meeting him ever since," nahyun talks to her screen in excitement.

"how long has that been going on?" her still known best friend yebin asked. the truth is, she stopped listening after nahyun dropped jakes name. how can someone like him like her back after he had byeol?

nahyun thinks a little before putting the make up brush on her face again, "like three months? i don't know," she says, putting the brush away again, "he said we're going to a hotel room tonight after dinner! i am so excited! what could happen," she winks at yebin, who just faked a smile.

"well i need to go, sumin invited me over," nahyun nods over to her phone before yebin hangs up.

"that bitch, i knew that was fake," nahyun mumbles before getting up and leaving.

it was past seven when she saw jake at the table in this fancy restaurant. "hey," she catches for his attention before he eyes her and gets up. "hey cutie," he laughs a little, letting her spin for him.

"i knew that dress would suit you," jake starts talking again after they gave away the menu.

jake had a hard time practising those words, those nicknames. fifteen dates, he promised himself, before dumping her. or more like he needs fifteen dates to forget her.

he forced a smile as he thought about byeol in that dress. he had it in his closet a while and wanted to gift it to her on her birthday, if only there wasn't this disaster.

nahyun keeps giggling to herself, suprised from the sudden nickname and compliment.

is he really that interested in me?

"hey, i forgot to book the hotel room, why don't we go clubbing tonight? i think it'll be fun," jake shares his thoughts.

if only he didn't make plans for the night with her, he would walk around her house and wait for her to look up at the sky, to watch her.

jay, one of his friends from australia said he was creepy for doing that. jake himself also thought that. but he just wasn't ready to let go, especially after what nahyun said when they met for the first time.

"sounds good! i know this club in the area, we should totally go there!" nahyun smiles at him.

"you really think this place is good?" byeol asks heeseung while looking around. "yes, trust me! i've been eating here every birthday now. it's so delicious," heeseung reassures before he pulls her chair away.

heeseung informed byeol about all the delicious food she should order when the girl dressed in sky blue was panicking.

"you're ordering too much! calm down we're only two," byeol looks at the waitress, "that's enough we don't want anything more," she smiles at him before giving away her menu card.

heeseung sulked a little as she doubted, "are you that hungry? we can call back the waitress," byeol puts her hand up again when the older shakes his head, pulling the hand on the table again.

"you're right, we shouldn't, we have to party tonight!" byeol shakes her head immediately, "i can't, you know i have a baby at home," she pulls her hand away from his.

heeseung shakes it off, "don't worry, byeol, i'll take care of her with you," he makes her laugh while she shakes her head.

"wait here i'll pay the bills and we'll go," jake gets up from his seat after they finish eating.

he quickly makes it there and pays off the bills, with just one thought in his mind. i need to get drunk.

"if you had told him already, we wouldn't have to worry and he could take care of it," heeseung shrugs, adding his thoughts.

"heeseung," jake who just heard it, had stopped in his steps, and sharpened his ears, "how am i supposed to tell him when he is like hating me to death?!" heeseung shrugs. jake didn't expect to hear her voice.

so thats why he cancelled my plans for his birthday?

he slowly walks up to the area where they are sitting. jake swore he would never eavesdrop, but this just caught his attention.

"you should've told him when you saw him at my house!" heeseung face palms himself. they're talking about me?!

"wait, you're right," byeol ironically adds, while jake slowly walks up to their table.

by now heeseung would be able to see him standing behind his ex.

"hey, long time no see! when are you planning to come home? your daughter is waiting at home," she pitches her voice, acting out the pretended lines.

"now say that again," byeol raises her eyebrows when heeseung states, "but this time turn around."

before byeol can even answer she hears a loud sigh behind her back.

"what a coincidence to see you here," heeseung acts normal while the girl is frozen, turned around.

jake ignores heeseung as both of them are frozen and caught in an eye contact.

what is wrong with them?

heeseung laughs to himself, calling for jake again, "i should leave, my girl is waiting for me," he smiles at heeseung after excusing himself and running away.

"my girl?" the girl mumbles to herself turning around again. did he just say my girl?!
