panicked byeol closed the door again, sitting on the bed, thinking about a way to get out of here.

"and i finally sang a song in that band, but it was weird," jakes voice gets louder and louder. she pulls her legs together, knowing this is her end.

She heard a loud noise making her flinch, "you can't go in there!" heeseung held the doorknob before jake could even approach it. his eyebrows crash together, "why?"

heeseung looks around to find an answer. because your ex is in there...

"it smells," he suddenly bursts as jake laughs. "oh really? what does it smell like," he crosses his arms over his lungs.

jake never lets him get fooled. he always knew when his best friend would lie.

like spring flowers and an incense of strawberry candies

jake raises his eyebrows as he waits for heeseung to answer, "poop," now jake is really laughing, meanwhile the girl in the room is panicking but confused over his answers.

"i'm serious, i ate too many spicy things now i have diarrhea," heeseung scratches his neck, hoping jake will believe it.

he wishes the ground would just swallow him at once. he is aware of byeol listening to everything that is happening outside the room, so he thinks about a plan, before jake really loses it.

"yeah, i don't believe," jake says, wiping the tear from all the laughing. the older one suddenly comes up, hoping she will understand.

"i just hope the smell would jump out of the open window," he empathises, getting another weird look from his friend.

"dude you're acting so weird, what the fuck?" jake asks lowkey annoyed.

as byeol is still panicking over the different things happening right now she looks down the window.

not as high as i thought. quietly she opens the window and climbs out of it.

"don't be silly, hee. i'm sure the smell isn't that bad," right when she hits the ground, the door opens from heeseung's room, revealing the person she is most afraid of.

heeseung sighs in relief, while the other tries to smell something, "i knew you were lying," he shook his head before plopping on his bed.

byeol is still walking in heeseungs shoes around his house. she sits at the bus stop while taking a big breath. byeol reaches into her pocket when she doesn't feel the thing that should've been in it.

"shit! my phone," she reaches into the other pocket, jumping from her seat.

"will you accompany me to the airport tomorrow," jake asks, laying on heeseungs bed while the owner is cleaning some of his clothes.

"i have to go to college tomorrow," he pouts looking at the younger one and right then his eyes widened.

byeols phone laying right next to jakes arm. "come here," heeseung runs up to his bro, hugging him, "what is wrong with you today." jake laughs it off.

i am so sorry.

after realising i left my phone at his house, i just went back home. he will realise eventually and bring it to my house.

i lay in bed, just after putting shiwang to sleep, a sigh leaves me. right now i would be scrolling through instagram, watching people enjoy their lives.

i just close my eyes, hoping heeseung comes back soon.

"byeol!" i hear some tapping on my window.

really? i am even starting to dream about him?

"byeol, i am about to fall," i hear again as i open my eyes. it wasn't a dream. it was heeseung with my phone.

i smile at him while he tries to not fall, "heeseung, why didn't you come from the front door?" heeseung pats his pants, shrugging.

"i didn't want your parents to see me, here," he hands me my phone, "he didn't sense anything, did he?" i ask, also asking him to sit down.

he shakes his head, hesitantly and shrugs with his shoulders, "i hope so, i saw your phone immediately and just hid it. i don't think he saw."

"great, thank you so much," i hug him as he giggles. "no problem, it was kinda my fault." i shake my head, "i shouldn't have fallen asleep, but you could've told me he was going to come." i pout.

heeseung steps a little closer to me, there were just a few inches between us. i look at him as he hesitates.

"you should stop doing that, looks ugly," he pushes my nose a little so i fall back a bit, "what? what did i do?"

"this," he mimics my pouting but uglier than i did it. i let my jaw drop as he smiles at me, "you!" i walk back while heeseung scoots back to the window.

"i'll see you!" he says before jumping out of the window.

it was true all along?

how can he be so stupid?

did he think i wouldn't recognise that so well spread scent? did he think i wouldn't recognise that gold phone?

i walk out of his house after bidding goodbye. i scoff before sitting at the bus stop, pissed off.

i waited about twenty minutes before i walk down the street i was most afraid of. stars street. i looked up to her window, as i see the light burning, i stop in front of it. i hear laughs and giggles, one giggle i know the best.

"you! i'll show YOU how you look," i hear her voice, giving me chills everywhere.

i see the back of a boy hit the windowsill, but it wasn't just any boy. it was my best friend.

my eyebrows crush together and i feel protective again, but why would i? she's not mine anymore. he was the one she should've been all along.

i walk away and do something i knew i would regret later. i take out my phone and text the old forbidden number.
