Chapter 7

A few days had passed since Rosie and I had to move in together and Sean was going to come to visit us for his session.
"Maaaaaarrrrryyyyyy" Yelled Rosie from her room.
"What's up princess?" I asked her arriving at her door.
"Can I have some pancakes pleeasee?" She said batting her eyelashes forming a pout and putting her hands together.
"Ok, but you'll have to eat some strawberries too alright?".
"YES" she cleared her throat "I mean yeah sure no problem". I chuckled and left her to make her some pancakes.

"Here you go Rosie some delicious pancakes, I'll be right back with your medicine ok?"
She just nodded and continued eating her breakfast.

I was on my way back with the medicine when the doorbell rang. "Just a second" , I said to the person behind the door. " I'll be right back to give you your medicine ok?"
"Ok". Rosie said resuming to play with her dolls.

"Oh, hey Thompson, I was just going to give Rosie her pills." I informed Rose that her big brother had arrived.
"Can I see her?" Asked Sean after saying hello to me.
"Sure" I took him to her room and he sat right besides her.
"Hey kiddo, how are you feeling?"
"Much better, Mary made me pancakes and they were THE BEST pancakes ever".
"Really? Well I might have to try those pancakes". He said turning to look at me.
"There are more in the kitchen, eat as many as you want". I approached Rose to give her her medicines just as her brother left the room to grab more pancakes.
"You do look so much better already".
"I feel so much better" She hugged me and it was the cutest thing ever "All thanks to you"
"OH MY GOD THESE ARE SO GOOD". We heard from the kitchen, Rosie started laughing
" I'll be right back ok? I have some teaching to do, if you need anything just call me, ok?"Rosie nodded and then I left her room so that I could start my lesson with Sean.

After about an hour we were done but Thompson wanted to stay a little longer with his sister.

While he was picking his stuff up from the table to put it in his backpack he turned to me
"Listen Mary, I wanted to thank you for helping me with my sister and for being my tutor".
"Nothing to thank me for, I love to help". I said with a smile.
"Hey um I was...I was wondering if you could um maybe help me with the other subjects...please". He scratched the back of his neck signaling he was nervous.
"Sure, I'll help you".
" Oh good! Thank you so very much". He said with a sight of relief. "So I guess I'm gonna have to come here more often huh? Because well you know we have to cover more ground".
"I guess so". I shrugged my shoulders and then all of a sudden a not so distant MARYYYYY sounded all around the apartment. That's my queue.
"Do you mind if I come too?" He scratched his neck again.
"Not one bit". I said showing him the way to his sister's room.

Thompson left a little bit after lunch time and I was left alone to take care of Rose all by myself.
"Mary?" Rose asked while brushing her dolls hair "Do you like my brother."
It was one of those times where if I had been drinking something I would've spit it out.
"Rosie what kind of question is that? Of course not, he was my bully". I kinda mumbled that las part but I do think she heard me.
"Oh, ok". She shrugged her shoulders and kept playing with her dolls.

She took a nap a little after that and in that moment I called my friend Viv.
"Hey girl how are youuu?" She said.

I loved talking with Viv because she was so good with words and told me what I needed to hear at the moment. She was a year older than me so she was like my big sister always and she always gave me the best advise.
"Hey Viv, I'm doing great, still taking care of Rose".
"We totally have to go clubbing after your two weeks are up".
"I would love to, tell me, how are you with your latest boy crush?".
"He invited me to go out tomorrow night". She said in a exciting tone.
"Iiiiiiiii you have to tell me everything".
"Of course I will, I'll tell you if he is a good kisser".
"Omg are you really kissing him on the first date?" I asked her, not believed her.
"Maybe, who knows, maybe we'll even hookup. Anyway, enough about me, tell me, how are things with Mr. Take care of my sister and teach me but I'll still be a jerk at school?".

I laughed at the long name she gave Thompson
"Good actually, he's not much of a jerk anymore but maybe that's just him outside of school you know?".
"Girl just be careful ok? I don't want you to get too close to the sun and get burnt". She sounded genuinely concerned.
"I'll try not to".
"Well, if you do get burnt I'll kick his ass and pull your hair for not listening to me".

I just laughed and said "All right, all right".

We kept talking for a little more and then we hung up just on time for Rosie to wake up.
