When I got home I called Viv since it had been a really long time since the last time we talked.
I picked up my phone once I was in my room and dialed her.
It rang a couple of times and then Viv picked up.

"Hey girl, what's up? How's it going with your boyfriend?". I chucked at her questions
"He's not my boyfriend Viv...at least not yet". I mumbled that last part but of course she heard me. She screeched in return.
"Well, what's new between you and your boy?".
I told her everything that had happened since the last time I spoke with her.
"You are so falling for him". She said with a sigh.
"No, I'm not". I said in a incredulous tone even though I knew she was right.
"Oh please we both know I'm right".
"Ok fine, I may be falling for him just a tiny little bit".
"Ha! Told ya".
"It's just that he's so...he's just so-". I was cut off by my adoptive big sister finishing my sentence.
"Perfect? Cute? Amazing? Hot? Wonderful?".
"Yes, yes, yes, yes and yes. He's all of that and more". I was bitting my lip thinking about him.
"Oh god, I need to get you distracted before you get in too deep". Viv mumbled under her breath while I daydreamed about Thompson.

"Do you have plans for next Friday?" Asked Viv with excitement in her tone.
"No why?"
"Good! because you're coming to a party with me, so tell pretty boy that you won't be able to hang out with him nor you will be able to tutor him next Friday because you have plans".
"Alright, I'll go". I sighed
"Great! Plus, when was the last time you went to a party anyway?"
"Well..." I said trying to remember.
"Oh god". I could picture her looking disappointed at me (in a friendly way).
"Yeah! ok, now I get your point".
"See you Friday then". She said stating her point
"See you then".

We talked a bit more about her and her boy problems and after a while we hung up.

-----------------------
The next day at school was all the same except for Thompson's behavior towards me...again. But this time was it a good change?

When I arrived he kissed me on the cheek and called me Angel while I was picking my stuff out of my locker.
When we were in class he would grab my hand under the table which took me by surprise or he would randomly tickle me slightly or kiss me on the cheek.
He was basically behaving as if we were a couple.

Soon came lunch break and obviously the girls started questioning me about it for which I responded with "I have absolutely no idea what is going on with him today". Because just as the girls I thought he didn't want anybody to know that we were "a thing" if you could even call whatever was happening between us "a thing".

I updated the girls on how my novel was going after all their questioning and sooner than later I was back in the classroom on my spot next to Thompson.

For the rest of the day we got scolded at by a few teachers because of how we were behaving but the rest of the day went on by smoothly.

Before we knew it the day had ended and he did something that, again, I wasn't expecting.
Instead of me walking behind him or him waiting for me at his car, he waited for me until I had my stuff weathered and took my hand so we could go together to his car.

"Where are we going?" I asked as I saw that we weren't going to my house.
"I'm taking you on a date". He said looking at the road.
"But my parents-".
"Already asked them for permission. Said we had a last minute project and that we had to go investigate".
"But I wanna-"
"I have a bag with your clothes that your mom gave me so you could change".

Ugh isn't he perfect?

"You really thought of everything didn't you?" I crossed my arms.
"Of course". He winked. "I'm starting to figure you out". A soft smile formed on his lips.

------------------------
We arrived at the mystery location which turned out to be the fair. I went to a bathroom and changed into the clothes my mom had picked up for me.

After I changed Thompson and I went to eat burgers. We ate and walked around for a while and I saw the cutest book stand and couldn't resist. I pulled Sean so he would come with me to look at the books.
"Omg Pride and Prejudice, I've been looking for this one for so long!" I said taking the beautiful book and admiring it.
"How much is it?" Asked Sean to the man in front of us.
"That one is $20 sir". Said the old man.
Sean went to reach for his wallet but I stopped him before he could take his wallet out.
"What are you doing?" I frowned shaking my head slightly.
"I'm getting the book for you".
"No, I can pay for it it's ok, you don't have to". I said reaching for my purse.
"No, I want to buy it for you, please, it's the least I can do after all you've done for me and Rose".

We were about to start discussing about who was going to pay for the book when the man caught our attention.

"Young lady, if this man wants to buy the book for you, let him. There aren't many men left like this. Plus, if he says he feels like he owes you let him buy the book for you. Young man, cherish this lady because there aren't many women left like her, many women nowadays want men to pay for all their sparkly jewelry and purses and this lady doesn't want you to pay for a book. Both of you look like very wonderful, kind people, what are your names?" We told the man out names. "Ahh you remind me of me and my beloved Jane. She was as stubborn as you" he said as he pointed at me "in fact, that was her book. You know what, keep the book, as a gift from me to you, that way you don't have to discuss on who's going to pay for it". Said the man with a soft smile.

"No sir, we can't accept that". Said Sean
"Please, let us buy it from you". I said. The man just shook his head.
"No, I insist, you remind me of my Jane, she was as caring as you Mary. Please keep it". His eyes were getting watery. "It's what she would've wanted".
"Ok". I said softly
The man took our hands and said,
"You two should cherish, love and take care of each other".
"Yes sir, we will". Said Thompson looking at me.
We said our goodbyes to the kind man and before we left I turned to look at him.
"Oh, sir? I forgot to ask you, what's your name sir?" I said softly.
"Robert". He replied.
"Well, pleasure to meet you Robert". And with that we turned away and left.

We continued our day but Robert's words never left my mind.

The day went by very fast and before we left we decided we were going to the Ferris Wheel so we could watch the twinkling lights of the city.

We were on our cart and I was leaning on Thompson's shoulder looking to the city and the Ferris Wheel had just stopped with us on the very top.
"Mary?" Asked Thompson with a hint of hesitation in his voice.
I hummed in response.
"I need to tell you something". He sounded serious so I looked at him.
"Is everything ok?" I asked concerned.
"Yes it's just that-". He closed his eyes as if he were nervous but eager to tell me something.
"I-I-I love you". He said looking straight into my eyes.
"You do?"

Really? "yOu Do?" Oh god I could kill myself right now.

"Um...yes, I do, I love you. I love you like the sun loves the moon. I love you more than Eros loves Psyche. I love you more than Juliette loved Romeo. I love doing nothing with you because even in nothingness means everything. I-". I cut him off kissing him deeply.
"I love you too". I said breaking off the kiss and looking straight into his eyes.

We kissed some more and before we knew it we were off the Ferris Wheel and on our way to my house.

"What will my parents think of the book?" I asked looking at it.
"Put it in you bag and they won't suspect a thing". He shrugged his shoulders.
How come I hadn't thought of that, I did had my bag with me.
"Oh yeah, that's right, I still have my book bag with me". I shook lightly my head.

We had arrived to my house and I was about to get out of the car when Thompson pulled me into a kiss.
"I love you". He said putting his forehead against mine and caressing my cheek softly.
I blushed slightly and said softly "I love you too".
