† Chapter Three

   "Look, I have to go but take my word for it. I heard you loud and clear." He protested then turned around in search of something. I think he was looking for Kim, he's really paranoid about her. I took more gummy bears and ate them in a casual way. "I'll see you later.

   "Okay, take care I guess." I shrugged and he was off, through the rain. I walked out of the ally and saw that he was gone. Okay how does he do that? Am I that slow?

   I rubbed my head, I was still feeling a little bit dizzy and didn't know what had caused this. Oh! It has to be the rain, I'm probably getting sick.

   I walked away and took the street that led straight to my house, but it was far away. I should probably get a car or I'd die from exhaustion.

   So let's get down to business, Adam now knows that I like him. But it's only a crush. I don't even know him, I just like him because he looks so cute. I don't love him. Like I said, I don't know him. I just met him.

   He still didn't tell me his opinion on me saying I liked him though, does he like me back? Is he even gay? Kim said something...but it didn't really mean that he was. She was just joking due to his insult at her.

   Still makes me wonder at the possibilities.

   I'm actually happy that I live in a small town because if this were a bigger town, then I would never have bumped into him and started a conversation. So luckily, this small town means I'm going to see him all the time. Unless he decides to hide from Kim.

   I wonder what her problem with that necklace is. Maybe it has sentimental values to her. But does it have enough to want you to kill the person that has it? Jesus!

   Some women are crazy.

[Adam's Point Of View]

   I ran through the forest at the speed of light, I made my way through every obstacle and wild animal that had crossed my path. A few broken trees but it was by accident. Some obstacles are too small for me to fit through. My agile was getting stronger, and this I was happy about.

   I turned through a few more trees and saw a river up ahead. I ran faster and faster until I reached the edge of the river and I kicked the ground and jumped right over it, I soared through the trees until I reached the ground, 200ft away from where I jumped.

   I looked back as I heard a sudden roar. Kim.

   She's following me. She won't stop until she gets this necklace, but there's no way I'm giving it to her. Not in a million years. And I can wait that long if she wants me to. My eyes searched through the trees and I focused on any movement. Then I spot it, a leaf suddenly just blew away.

   I made a run for it, building up momentum until I was at full speed.

   I looked behind and saw my black smoke trail, that's one thing I hated about being a Vampire when you're running away from death. They will know where you go because of this stupid smoke. It had something to do with us being demonic. It disappeared after a few seconds but we are fast so we see it before it disappears.

   I heard Kim's giggle behind me. Does she think this is some kind of game? I'm just trying to survive. I sighed, I didn't want it to have to come to this.

   I turned around and immediately Kim appeared. She stood there with a smile on her face.

   "Kim, leave me alone."
