We arrived at the hotel a short while later. I approached the reception desk to check in while Damian unloaded the car and dropped it off with the valet. "Hi there, I rang up earlier and booked the honeymoon suite for 2 from tonight until Tuesday morning?"

"Of course, Miss Taylor or is it Mrs....." The guy working the reception paused as Damian entered. "Mr Priest? I am a huge fan of yours." He turned back to me. "Sorry Miss Taylor, I need to see to our celebrity guest as per hotel procedure and then I will be back with you."

"No need." Damian looked at the receptionist's name badge before continuing. "No need Clayton. We will be checking in together." Damian placed his arm around my shoulder as he smirked cheekily at the receptionist.

"My apologies Mr Priest and congratulations. I am very sorry Mrs Priest I wasn't aware please accept my apologies and I will have a complimentary bottle of champagne sent up too the suite. Here are your keys and the honeymoon suite is located on the 16th floor. Enjoy your stay, if there is anything at all I can do to help please don't hesitate to ask."

Damian nodded and accepted the keys. We made our way to the elevator which thankfully wasn't empty so that saved the awkwardness until we were in the suite. The whole elevator ride up to the 16th floor though Damian had a smug grin as though he was desperate to say something but was biding his time.

When we reached the room Damian opened the door for me and gestured for me to enter. "Después de que Mija." I nodded and entered gasping as I took in the suite in front of me. The suite was just a huge room separated by a divider. It was cream, deep red and gold with the far side of the room being floor to ceiling and wall to wall windows overlooking Buffalo. In the middle of the room on the right hand side wall there was a grand looking king size 4 poster bed strewn with rose petals with a room divider at the foot of the bed separating the sleeping area from the living area. The other side of the divider there was a small 2 seater love seat in cream with gold trim, a coffee table and then a wall mounted TV. To the left hand side of the entry there was the bathroom but then in the room itself just in front of the windows was a few steps which led to a spa bath which was sunk into the floor and surrounded by LED candles.

Damian followed in behind me dropping the bags by the door. "Wow Mija. You really pulled out all the stops for us this weekend didn't you? You do realise I already love you, you don't have to hire suites to impress me. Or are you just trying to get me into bed again?"

"I knew it wouldn't take too long before you would say something. This was the last room that they had available and I knew this was your preferred hotel so didn't think it would be that much of a deal. It is nice though." I made my way over and sat on the edge of the bed.

"Mija, I am just playing with you. I love it and I don't care that the reception desk now thinks we are married. Maybe just play along though so we get that champagne." Damian smiled as I laughed at him.

"I am thinking though that we should order room service and then maybe, if you wanted too, we could fill that 2 person sized bath over by the window and you could join me. How does that sound to you Papi?"

"Sounds perfect to me. I do need to just make a quick phone call to set a few things up for tomorrow. I'll get better service outside, will you be ok for 5 minutes?" I nodded and smiled as Damian approached me and kissed me goodbye and then left.

We hadn't been in New York long but Damian seemed relaxed, I was relaxed and it was nice to not be looking over my shoulder every second to check that I wasn't being followed. It also felt good to be here through choice and not because we were rushing to an arena. I unpacked a few of my items and made sure to unpack and subtly hide the Victoria's secret lingerie that had oh so innocently fallen into my case while packing. Just because we were avoiding our issues back home didn't mean that we couldn't make the most of our little trip.

Damian returned about half an hour later looking very pleased with himself. "We are all sorted for tomorrow Mija. I just spoke to a friend of mine, Ricky. He has said we can meet him at his dojo and he will help me get you acquainted with a few moves for protection. Are you sure that you are up for it though Soph? This is something that isn't to be taken lightly."

"I know and I want you to teach me. I want to feel protected and I want you to know that I have had the best teachers available in what I learn. For now though I think we should get some room service ordered and just enjoy the evening."

"Sounds good Mija. Let's get some food."

We received our room service as well as the champagne we were promised which was hand delivered with another apology by Clayton himself. He nervously asked for Damian's autograph and a selfie which Damian agreed too but only the following day when he was fully dressed and not relaxing in black sweats and a tank. We flicked on a movie and sat and watched it while eating our food, neither of us realising just how relaxed and happy we were away from Florida.

DAMIAN'S POV

I had made my way down to the front of the hotel to make the phone call to Ricky and arrange a meeting to get Sophie started on learning the basics of martial arts and self defence. Whilst there though I also pulled out a card from the house earlier and gave the number a call. I gave them the details of the house and spoke to the realtor in charge who talked me through a few details. The wheels were in motion. I would protect Sophie no matter the cost.
