"Mija, I'm home." Damian bellowed as he walked in through the doorway with his hands full of food bags.

"Out here Papi." I raised myself out of the pool and over to my towel as Damian made his way outside with dinner. I walked towards him once I had dried a little with my towel and gave him a kiss before noticing the bags. "Did you go all the way to Maguro to get all this?"

"Si Mija, I know how much you like what we tried of theirs but then I also got a few new bowls for us to try as well. Shall we eat out here?" I nodded and we placed all the bowls on the table between our loungers and started tucking in. There was more food than either of us could manage but I was pleased in a way as the food was out of this world. Maguro not only did Sushi but it was Sushi with a Latin twist. I just loved that I could get Empanadas and Bao buns from one place and they both tasted as good as each other.

While eating though Damian kept looking into the house. Where we were positioned we were able to see into the house and out through the kitchen window of which the blind was partially open. "Are you ok babe? You keep looking outside as though there is something wrong."

"I am ok, just keep getting this feeling that we are being watched. Do you know what I mean Mija?" I instantly followed Damian's gaze to the window and felt uneasy.

"I do know what you mean. I have been feeling like that today as well but thought I was just being silly. This next question may be a little strange but did you happen to see a blue Sedan when you parked up?"

Damian thought for a second before looking concerned and replying. "Now you mention it Soph, there was a blue Sedan sat at the end of the road and the bloke behind the wheel looked a little dodgy. Looked as though he was staking out somewhere. I had to beep him as he was blocking the road. When I did he looked panicked almost when he saw me but moved off and drove slowly past the house."

"Did you get a good look at him? The driver, what did you see? What did he look like?" I felt my heart starting to race as my panicked words fell from my mouth.

"Mid 30's, red hair, pale and pasty with a goatee. Scruffy looking too. Quite burly but not muscle. Had a really distinguishable tattoo on his left forearm, looked like a badly done...."

I didn't give Damian a chance to finish. "A badly done Foo dog." Damian nodded. "I believe that you may have just met Dylan."

Damian's eyes widened and before I realised what was happening he was gone. I chased after him to see that he had ran out into the street and was scouring the road. "I swear to god Sophie if I would have known I would have made sure he got a free lift in the back of a police car or an ambulance." Damian turned back to me placing a hand on either cheek and looking me dead in the eyes. "You ever see that car again Mija, you ring the police. I promise you if I ever see that car again I will make sure he is unable to drive it again. I will protect you Sophie, I guarantee you that much. We are not having a repeat of Saturday."

I nodded gently before scouring the street myself. "Mi Cielo, can we go back inside? Please? I don't think he will be coming back any time soon, or at least I hope not. Think about it, if he saw you and looked panicked then it is probably because he realised that I am not alone."

Damian nodded in agreement before embracing me and then steering me back towards the house. Our home, our sanctuary. Only issue being it now was feeling as though our sanctuary and our safe space had been breached. Even though neither of us said it, I think we both knew we were now on borrowed time before an unwelcome visitor would darken our doorway.
