Castiel's point of view
It was already next day, the staff must have let us sleep because he was still here.
I didn't have my eyes open, I got everything with, but I lay so comfortably.
After some time, a girl came in, small, maybe 4 years old.
"Deaaan", she whispered.
So his name was Dean, doesn't sound like a wimp. Was this girl his daughter? She had a sweet voice, I don't know what she looked like because I was pretending to sleep to see what was going to happen. I heard a chair creak.
"Hey Lilith, what's up? Are your parents okay?"
So not his daughter, but how do they know each other, I'm curious, but I don't want to talk to him.
"I'm hungry, can we eat something, my parents are still asleep"
she said it a little louder.
"Pssst, quiet, he's still asleep"
He made sure I could sleep ? I'm still not allowed to have anything to do with him, so far everyone had taken advantage of me.
I took a quick look, I saw the girl, brown hair, two pigtails and a bow, she was wearing a plaid dress, orange, my favorite color.
Dean took her by the hand and they snuck out, I saw the little one look at him laughing and then they were gone.
Dean's point of view
I hope I'll be back when he wakes up, he hadn't spoken to me again but I'll get through to him.
Lilith was only 4, soon 5, she didn't know what about her parents.
I sat nervously across from her, moving mine right knee quickly up and down.
I looked around, the cafeteria was still very empty, two men were sitting at the other end and two sisters were eating to the right.
Lilith spoke a lot again, I wasn't really listening, I was thinking of Castiel.
Why didn't he talk to me, he hadn't said a single sentence to me, I didn't even know what his voice sounded like anymore.
I was back in his room, this time he was writing something on a piece of old paper.
Lilith was sitting next to me, she was coloring in a drawing that I had drawn for her.
And I, I watched Castiel write so intently and as if he could literally see dreams.
I wish I could see it so I just asked
,,Can I see ?"
He winced, he was probably more lost in thought than I had guessed. He hesitated, so I quickly went on.
"I have nothing to do here and I'd like to read it, please." I laughed a little.
He smiled, hesitantly and reluctantly, then stopped when he noticed. despite the fact that his smile was so stunning and being so breathtaking.
Eventually he gave it to me, so I read.
He wrote about a little boy and a special someone connected to the boy and how the boy was scared in hospitals because something had happened to him. It wasn't long, nice memories were also described, it was well written and I read right into it.
When I looked at him again, he quickly looked away and pretended to do something else.
"That's very good, the boy seems to have a really varied life"
Castiel took it back and continued writing.
He's really not talkative.
Lilith noticed something, she put down her pencils and ran towards the bed.
She jumped up and hopped on his bed, laughing loudly.
"Lilith please, he needs to rest"
But she couldn't seem to hear me for laughing, neither did he, he looked up and laughed, he wasn't smiling, he was laughing, also loudly.
His laugh is funny and very sweet, so warm with so much feeling, I've never heard such a laugh in all my life.
I decided to make him laugh more often in the future, when he laughed it made me feel better, it reminded me of a little kid who had no idea about life, so carefree.
A few days passed, I still didn't hear from Sam, I hoped nothing had happened.
I sat in Castiel's room again, he still ignored me, some days I could almost get through to him, but every time he noticed it, he built a wall again.
Nurses came running into the room, Castiel startled and looked at them shocked.
"Mr Winchester, it's about Lilith's parents, can you come out the door with me?"
I looked at Castiel, then to the nurses and finally went out with them.
Castiel's point of view
Dean was taken to the door, that didn't help, I could still hear everything.
Lilith's parents just died, she didn't know yet, he should tell her since he was the closest person to her.
The next minute Lilith came to Dean, she were still at the door.
I didn't hear exactly what Dean had said to her, she started crying and turned away, but Dean ran to the other side and hugged her.
She leaned into the hug, looking so familiar, like brother and sister or more like father and daughter. Dean spoke louder
"We'll drive to your house and pack your things, you come to Sammy and me. It will everything's ok" "Please Dean, I never want to go to the hospital again"
"You don't have to, we stay at home"
He waved her in the direction of the exit, I hoped he would come visit me anyway, he must be annoyed by me, he had been trying very hard to get me to talk for the last few days, I like him, but Gabriel had had me since I was a small child said that people lie no matter how convincing they are.
"Hey Cas, I'm going now"
He glanced at me fleetingly, but closely
"See you then, Dean"
He stopped abruptly, turned around very quickly and smiled from ear to ear, his gaze meeting mine.
He waved and whispered happily to himself
"Finally"
and walked out of the room smiling.
It made me happy that he reacted that way, maybe my brother was wrong, nobody who wants to screw someone is so happy when someone talks.
...
Hopefully he will come back.
