Stuck like glue

*in the bath! Santana was first to get in and she let Brittany lean against her since the brunette could sense that Brittany was still feeling a little off since their phone call to Layla*

*their roles were totally flipped because instead of the blonde looking after the brunette, san was the one to help Brittany's wash her hair and speak words of love and encouragement so the blonde wasn't getting lost in her thoughts*

*an hour later! Both girls were dressed and getting ready to head out to the police station. After talking with Santana for a bit, Brittany was back into protective Dom mode and made sure Santana was sure about doing all this today. Brittany had packed some of sans little stuff just incase she slips while they are out the house. Santana says shes gonna stay big so its easier to talk about everything but even she knows how difficult that is when she is in an uncomfortable situation*

Brittany: *looks up at san as she walks out the bathroom after brushing her teeth* so Danny says that chad is on shift and should be free to speak with us today. *smiles at san knowing that it will give her some reassurance knowing that she isn't talking to a complete stranger*

Santana: awesome! *smiles down at Brittany as she stands between the blondes legs* 

Brittany: *smiles back at the brunette then they kiss* you ready? *stood up, placing her hand into Santana's hand*

Santana: as much as i can be! *chuckles nervously as Britt gives her a sympathetic smile*

*at the police station!*

Brittany: we're here! *parks the car then turns to san giving her a smile of encouragement*

Santana: *looks back down at her lap and bites her lip nervously* is it weird that i wanna sit on your lap and cuddle you even though i'm not feeling little? *looks up at Brittany*

Brittany: *smiles sympathetically, seeing how hard this whole thing really is for Santana like they have been transported back in time to when she was with Derek in high school* of course not... come here baby! *takes her seatbelt off and reaches out to san, letting the brunette climb over to her*

*Santana sits sideways on Brittany's lap, resting her head in the crook of the blondes neck. Brittany wraps her arms round Santana's waist and gives her a kiss on the head as Santana tangles her hands in with Brittany's. They sit there in a comfortable silence just enjoying their closeness*

*after much reluctance, Brittany manages to get Santana out the car. Hand in hand, they make their way into the police station and are instantly greeted by chad*

Chad: afternoon ladies! *smiles at the girls as he goes up to give Brittany his usual welcome hug whenever they see each other*

Brittany: hey! How are you? *smile back at chad*

Chad: today has been a very quiet day so i can't complain really! How's things with you? *kept his tone cheery and not drawing attention to the big elephant in the room*

Brittany: well me and my girl here have been stuck at the hip all of last week, working from home. Which of course is a win, win situation, right babe? *lightly nudges sans arm with a big smile on her face and so much love in her eyes*

Santana: always... *was also smiling up at Brittany with the same look of total adoration*

*Chad hates to be the one breaking them out of their little happy bubble but he knows he has work to do. He wants to make things for san run as smoothly as they can while she is here*

Chad: right this way ladies! *smiles politely as he directs the girls towards an empty room with nothing but a table and a few chairs in the middle of it* would either of you like a drink or anything? *stands by the girls as they get seated together on one side of the table*

Brittany: *looks at san* would like something baby? *saw san shake her head then go back to laying her head on Brittany's arm* no thanks! *looks up at chad as he gets a seat opposite the girls*

Chad: *places a few things out in front of him that he needs for this thing* normally someone who's giving a statement has to be on their own in the room with the officer they are speaking with. But in Santana's case i have let it slide because I know you guys and I understand Santana need special treatment. *smiles politely as Brittany smiles back at him*

Brittany: we really appreciate that! I promise ill keep my mouth shut and let you do your thing. *makes a joke to lighten the heavy environment they are in right now. Of course she isn't surprised that only her and chad had chuckled at it though*

Chad: sounds good! Ive just got a few questions for Santana to answer and since I'm not doing things the normal way for you girls today, i will let Santana have a break to talk with you as much as she needs too between each question. *smiles up at Brittany as she smiles back and nods her head in understanding*

Brittany: sounds good! *smiles as chad smiles back then they both glance down at Santana as she continues to rest on Brittany's shoulder and fidgets with he hands*

*chad started by asking some random questions to Santana in a way that will let her be a little less nervous in chads presence. He can totally see that the environment and his uniform can come across as intimidating for someone as vulnerable. Luckily he did manage to make her laugh and got a couple short worded answers from her*

*Santana was a little more at ease but not enough to lift her head off Britt's shoulder to make eye contact with anyone. Chad wasn't bothered at all coz he could see that she was doing ok with Brittany by her side, holding her*
