How many nights does it take to count the stars?
That's the time it would take to fix my heart.
~One DirectionIt was currently 7:00am on a Saturday and even though Emma had fallen asleep an hour ago something seemed to keep Elora awake. No matter what she did, she just couldn't sleep. So at long last giving up, she freshened up and went downstairs.
Yesterday night was amazing. Emma and Elora had done a lot. After Emma had come back up to the room last night, she seemed to feel better but all Elora wondered was why Alex was acting different with other people and why he couldn't be the same way with her.
Emma didn't miss the fact that something was on Elora's mind and kept itquestioning her about it but each time Elora would just change the topic. Emma had known for a fact that there was no point in pushing Elora to do something and so she left the topic the way it was and Elora thanked her stars. Although she knew that soon enough she would have to answer Emma.
Elora was really very hungry, so very carefully she went downstairs in order to get something to eat. It was early and so she knew that no one would be awake as it was a Saturday, and even though it might seem a bit childish for her age, Elora knew that with her mom asleep, she could have some ice cream early in the morning.
"Good morning." She jumped at that and for a moment her heart stopped beating before she realized that it was only Alex.
Of course he's here. How could I forget?
"Could you at least try to not give people heart attacks at 7 in the morning?" Elora said not looking at him and straight away going to the freezer.
"You just get scared too easily." Alex said smiling goofily.
"Oh shut up Mr. Thingy." Elora said with a smirk.
"That's going to take time to go down isn't it?" Alex said mostly to himself, shaking his head.
"Don't even count on it." Elora said as she found what she was looking for. Perfect.
Strawberry, blackberry and cherry! This is just the most perfect breakfast ever.
"Ice cream in the morning?" Alex said chuckling.
"Mom's asleep so I can do whatever I want which happens really rarely. So shut up. And if you say anything everyone in Uni will call you Mr. Thingy." Elora threatened.
"Yes sir." Alex said saluting her which only caused her to laugh.
"Want some?" Elora said.
"Well, yes. Blackberry would do." Alex said but Elora only shook her head.
"Now that won't do. If you're in my house then this will not do." Elora said. "Have you ever eaten ice cream?"
"I wasn't really living under a rock so I think that would be a yes." Alex said looking at her with curiosity. She was always another thing. She was always mysterious and Alex always got curious around her.
"Then today you're going to have it properly." Elora said taking out a scooper.
"And what do you mean by that exactly?" Alex said playfully narrowing his eyes at her which only cause her to shake her head.
"It means that today you're going to have three flavors at once." Elora said smiling to herself.
"Okay...?" It wasn't supposed to come out as a question but it did. Elora then took out a bowl and scooped out a bit of the blackberry flavor. She then took a spoon and flattened it out. She did the same with the cherry and strawberry flavor and repeated it until the bowl was full. She then handed it to Alex who took it still looking at her suspiciously.
