Chapter 18 : A secret between you and I

"Please don't tell anyone that I remember." I begged Chris. Mukhang gulong gulo naman siya.

He looked around checking if someone heard us when he confirmed no one was awake, he looked at me. "Why not? Aren't we supposed to celebrate since you finally remember?"

"It's not that... uhm... I honestly don't know... I only remember the memory, pero for some reason... the feelings is not there... I don't know how to explain it pero I cannot feel it yet... like i cannot look pass to the fact that he was my boyfriend."

"Correction still is, since there was no break up.. but don't mind me I am just being technical." Pag klaro niya ng makita niya akong naguluhan.

"Ah basta... I am not ready for anything more than friendship... I wanna know... I wanna feel, I want to remember what the past Gab felt back then. Until then... please don't tell anyone." Tinitigan ko sya.

"Why? Isn't it Andrei's responsibility to prove it to you then?"

"I know it is but how can he prove anything if I don't even know what I feel inside?"

He stared at me, I can clearly see that he is trying ti understand me.

"I hope it won't take long for you then."

I shrugged "I honestly don't know."

"But the thought of him being with someone upsets you right? Or atleast?"

Nag flashback naman sakin yung pag ddrama ko when I saw him and Kim hugging. I nodded. "Not that I am just jealous, just maybe the fact that I thought he was hiding something from me, since I am the bff."

He breathe out harshly. "Hay~! I guess it is better than nothing." Kamot niya sa ulo niya. "Bahala na, basta I am always at your side... for you guys." Kamot niya ng ulo niya sabay subo ng ice cream na hawak niya, na supposed to be meant for me... pero nawalan ako ng appetite e!

"Promise." I held my pinky to his face. He chuckled and took it with his.

"I promise." he smiled warmly... now I can kinda see how I liked Chris back then.

"Thanks for the invite." Brent rolled his eyes after stretching.

"Kanina ka pa dyan?" I looked at Chris, i think he knows what is in my mind, what if narinig niya?

"Not really I woke up from your bathroom light, I think Andrei was there so I went donwstairs when I did not see you in bed. At eto nga, ice cream session kayo diyan without waking me up is a sin, Gab." Siningkitan niya ako.

"Sorry, you were snoring so loudly so I did not wake you up."

"Snore my ass. I don't snore." He defended himself.

Kinuha niya yung isang kutchara ng ice cream at sinubo yun kasabay nun yung pag check niya sa noo ko. "Okay no fever. Are you feeling okay?"

"Yeah." I nodded and took another bowl and spoon sa cabinet.

"Good."

"You are not worried?" Chris shot a look at Brent.

"Nope. I know nothing is wrong. She got her MRI and CTScan before she flew here." Share ni Brent habang busy sa pagkain.

I was about to complain when Andrei came in the kitchen nag kukuskos ng mata. "So I am late for the party?" He looked at us and did not a say a word after and went straight to me that made everything stopped when he kissed my cheek.

Brent choke right away and so does Chris, nabitawan pa niti yung spoon niya samantalang ako... I held my breath... like WTF? He kissed my cheeks infront of everybody!!!

My eyes widen, samantalang sya took him couple of seconds to realize it.

I can only heard Chris chuckled, mukhang natauhan na "Tsk... old habits die hard. and don't even try to cover up by acting like you will give me a kiss too! No more! Only happened once and that's it!" he complained as Andrei tried to reach and kiss him.

"What is going on?"

"Well... Andrei have this habit of kissing when he wakes up, to make it less awkward, he tends to kiss all of us."

"Shut up! Just take my kiss!" Andrei said while pouting and chasing Chris with it.

Brent acted like nasusuka sa dalawang to.

samantalang ako I can't help but to held my cheek.

"You guys better shut up or else we will get kicked out of here." Brent scolded them. "pag nagising si Kim, sasakalin ko kayo." Pahabol niya which made all 3 of us stop and stare at him.

Inakbayan sya agad ni Chris "Ilalakad na talaga kay Kim, mukhang may chance ka naman e! Lika bigyan kita ng pointers." Aya nito palayo sa kitchen so kaming 2 lang ni Andrei natira.

Medyo sinilip ko sya, sya naman kumukuha na ng bowl at spoon din makiki ice cream na din ang loko.

He looked at my empty bowl pero he continued filled his. Akala ko susubo na sya galing don but to my surprise, he took my empty bowl and fill it up too.

"Eat yours already." Di pa din niya inaalis tingin niya sa ginagawa niya.

"Oh akala ko sayo to. You just did what Chris did to me earlier." he suddenly stop...

"Oh really?" di pa din siya tumitignin sakin.

"Mmhmm." I nodded habang kumakain na din.

"I see." He commented shortly.

Napansin ko nalulusaw na din yung ice cream na kinuha ni Chris kanina for him. "Chris yung ice cream mo!!" I did not hesitate. Kinuha ko yun at pumunta kung nasan si Chris hindi sa kalayuan. Nasa living room ang dalawa ng aasaran.

"Andrei just follow us if you want."

I need to follow Chris kasi ang loko, di ko alam kung bakit ako iniwan kay Andrei, knowing that he even kissed my cheek infront of everybody.

To my surprise Kim is sitting on the couch balot ng kumot simula ulo hanggang paa, naka indian sit pa ito. "I don't get you guys eating ice cream in a rainy evening." She pouted.

"Okay complete na ulit. Time to watch again. Wala ng mahihimatay ha!" Chris threw a pillow at me. Which made me shock. Buti na lang talaga naibaba ko na sa coffee table tong mga ice cream bowl na dala ko kund hindi naku!

Pinandilatan ko si Chris which he did the same. Para bang nag hahamon ng away.

"You can be soooo rude sometimes, alam mo yun?"

"I know that. But you still liked me." He winked. Which made me freeze from that spot.

Bakit bigla akong naging affected sa mga pang aasar ng gagong to?!

I looked away. "Baliw!"

Di ako dapat mailang, pero bakit naiilang ako bigla kay Chris. I looked up a little pero busy pa din ito sa pag aayos ng couch kung saan kami mauupo.

I know I should know what I felt for Andrei, pero I don't know why Chris is making me more interested. Bumabalik ba feelings ko sa lalaking to?

Umiling ako, trying to shake that thought away. I need to concentrate on something else. And it should not be Chris.

"By the way, the fashion week will be the day after tomorrow na Gabby. Wag mo indianin si Andrei ah." Kim butt in. Buti na lang she distracted me, kasi muntik ko na ulit tingnan si Chris. Sa boyish na boyish look nito plus yung mga tawa niya. Nakakahawa. Parang baliw.

"Yes ma'am!" Upo ko sa tabi ni Kim at niyakap ito. The comforter wrapping around her made her even more huggable.

"You guys watch, and I sleep. I need to be early tomorrow. Ikaw Andrei, don't stay up too late too. You are early too." Pangangaral nya.
