The presumed human gave Cassie a smile, before saying, “while it’s nice to meet you both, I’m here for Levi. Do you know where he is?”
“Screw that, how’d you get in here? I didn’t hear the door open.” Quana fumed at the stranger, but he only smiled at them both.
“I hope you can forgive me, but I used your bracelet to make my way in here.”
“Wha-” Quana was visibly confused.
Meanwhile Cassie watched him carefully, he chuckled at her intense gaze.
“You’re very much on edge. Is there some reason why?”
She simply stated, “I don’t know you.”
“You didn’t know Levi either, but you've let him into your home with no problem.”
“Levi doesn’t make me feel like he’s going to do something bad.”
He smiled. “Well, how about I tell you my name? Would that put you at ease?”
“Not really, but it’s better than nothing.”
“Then my name is Solomon. I know you two are Cassie and Quana-” Solomon looked at Quana, “-and you and I met yesterday night.”
“And you said something about my bracelet, you don't happen to have it do you?”
Cassie sighed. “Quana, seriously?”
“What? If I don’t find this thing, it won’t matter what happens here.”
Solomon let out a soft hum, then from his pocket he pulled out some pieces of metal. It didn’t seem important at first, but when they both noticed the bronze color of one of the pieces. Quana let out a loud gasp and snatched the contents from his hand.
“My bracelet!” In her palm were some letters of her name as well. Quana’s eyes started to water and Solomon let out an awkward chuckle.
“I used that to get here, I didn’t think it was so important to you.”
At his words, Quana shot up and got in his face. “You can’t pay me back for this, what do you expect to do to get my bracelet back to me?” Quana’s voice was shrill, she yelled in his face and had little concern for his personal space.
“Quana, calm down.” Cassie tried to get her attention.
“No, shut up!” She snapped. “Someone here is going to pay for my bracelet.”
Cassie let out a sigh and turned around for her bedroom.
“Okay, I can fix it.”
“How? How on earth can you fix this!” Quana presented the broken remains of her bracelet to him.
Solomon grew a smile on his face and collected the remains from her. He cupped his hands together and Quana watched as he recited a few words.
His hand softly started to glow, in a matter of seconds, he let go of his clasped hands and her bracelet was returned to normal. In tact the way it was the day before. Her mouth fell open and she quickly took the bracelet back and slipped it onto her wrist.
“Oh my God! How’d you do that?”
Solomon softly chuckled. “Would you believe me if I said magic?”
“No.” A laugh followed her voice. “Magic isn’t real.”
“Oh? Then how would you explain what I did?”
Quana gave a shrug. “Maybe it was never broken and you just did a magic trick. I don’t know though.” Quana quickly turned around and found only her and Solomon in the area. “Oh man.”
