The girl's routine mellowed out as they quickly grew accustomed to their classes and the pace of the day. They even settled to eat lunch together to spend some time with no demon brothers.
Quana leaned over seeing the food Keris had. "What is that?"
"Wanna try?" Keris pushed the bento full of a steaming roll that was black in color. It had the texture of a normal bread roll, but the color and the strange steam coming off it turned Quana and Jessica away.
"That thing might get up and eat us," Jessica said.
"You guys are so scared of everything. Barbatos needed some help last night and after I got off my shift he didn't wanna ask me, but I insisted so he let me take some of it to school."
"Is he sure this isn't alive or something?"
"Of course not. You don't see it moving do you?"
Those words were met with the confused gaze of the girls. Seeing that none of them had said that, they looked to Cassie and found her casually eating her own human world food.
"Is there some kind of monster that can steal voices?" Jessica questioned.
"Maybe, I haven't seen one yet." Cassie shrugged.
"But that's not the case so that was you?" Quana's voice held a deep amount of skepticism.
"Yeah, you guys think that thing's alive but it's not moving. Don't be stupid." Cassie addressed them.
They caught her talking that time and once more looked to each other.
"Don't tell me she's possessed or something?"
Cassie scoffed. "Why would anyone want to possess me? Number one useless body over here."
"Okay that's kind of normal, but still kind of not. Seriously, Cassie you're not sick or something?"
"Maybe sick of being here."
"What? You don't like eating with us?"
"No, I like it, I just don't wanna be here right now."
"Why not?" Keris asked.
"Because I'd rather be-" Before she finished that, Cassie's own hand covered her mouth.
"Seriously, what is wrong with you?" Quana checked Cassie's body and found nothing out of the ordinary.
"Maybe something did happen. She was out at night yesterday." Keris stated.
"Yeah, but one of them would have noticed if she had... some kind of thing attached to her or something."
All the girls shared an equal amount of concern, Cassie held her hand over her mouth then she looked around for her notebook. She found her pen and wrote on a blank page before presenting it to the girls.
It read: I don't mean to say that stuff. I just can't stop myself.
"What? So, you're like saying what you really think?"
Cassie nodded.
"Wow, first off you're way rude Cassie," Quana said folding her arms.
Cassie rolled her eyes and wrote again. There IS something wrong, you gotta try and help me.
"How? We don't even know what's going on with you," Jessica said.
"Uh, guys?" They looked to Keris who was looking at her D3. "Check out the group chat."
They each did so and saw a video posted that had Levi, Asmo, Mammon, and Lucifer. Satan sent the message so they assumed he was behind the camera.
The video played...
