Saturday. Still pretty much alive. Still very sleepy as well. I kinda miss the plastic cutlery, they never made this much noise. Now the silverware is back- and it woke me up from my slumber. Mom was making breakfast, the house was filled with the smell of slighty burned toast and bacon.

I got out of bed, cleaned up in the bathroom and went to the kitchen. Mom and Dad sounded happy, they were talking and laughing. I guess this is how they would've been everyday if they didn't have me for a daughter. Happy!

"Hi sweety! Good morning! Sorry we woke you up!" sounds like my presence was finally noticed.

" Hi Mom, Hi Dad!"

" I'll get your plate ready!"

" So are you ready to go get coffee with your old man?"

" Coffee? That's where we're going? To the coffee shop?"

" Yup! We're going to the coffee shop!"

He came near me and whispered, " We haven't been there in a while and I'm really dying to have that hot chocolate, I'm sure you're too!"

' Actually Dad, I was there this week I had the hot chocolate, or two. It was a blast. Oh and Walter stood me up so I went by myself.' Ofcourse that's not what I said.

" Yeah I could do with it."

" See! That's what I thought. So better not stuff yourself ."

" Hey that's not cool!" Mom suddenly sounded like she came to the table to join us. " Here you go honey! Eat as much as you want!"

" Don't listen to your mom!"

I wasn't going to eat too much if I was going to drown my sorrows in hot chocolate so I didn't. After I helped Dad clear the table he put the dishes in the dishwasher and we were almost ready to go. I just needed see Bryce. I usually spent my weekends with him but now I was going without him because Dad wanted all my attention. That's what he said!

I checked up on Bryce, and after that got into Dad's car to head over to the coffee shop.

" So anything new you wanna try when we get there?"

" No! Just the hot chocolate!"

" I heard the raisin muffins were good!"

" Well you'll get them."

" Fine, no sharing!"

In a short while we were at Minny's. The familiar scent of coffee and muffins filled the air. The coffee scent was really inviting, not to mention the muffins which simply made your mouth water. Minny's was simply the best coffeeshop in town. I know I haven't been to other coffeshops but it still was in a league of its own.

" Hey Minny! My daughter and I would love two cups of your delicious hot chocolate!"

" Hey, okay coming right up. I'm a bit swamped today, I'm sort of waiters! So it might take a little while, I'm sorry."

" It's fine, we'll just take that empty table over there, I know people love the outdoors."

" That they do! Or take outs. Please do sit!"

" Thank you!"

Dad grabbed my hand, it was a bit weird but I heard it was full house today so I really wouldn't make a spectacle of bumping into someone and burning myself or them with the coffees. We finally sat down. It took us a while to settle down, with all the commotion.

" It sure is busy today, isn't it?" Dad asked.

" Yeah I can hear, I wonder what's up!"

" Probably an extended rush hour! Plus, it's the weekend!"
