Four weeks later...

"I can't believe you're seeing him again." "I have to keep face, besides not long and I reckon he would do whatever I suggested." "God it makes my skin crawl." Katie said as she finished making the children's packed lunches for the following day and put them in the fridge. "Luce, I really really do appreciate what you're doing but, I just want you to know there must be another way, if you wanna quit you can." "Don't be silly. This will be my greatest act, taking down that fucker." Katie smirked before hugging her friend. "Belle and I will never be able to thank you enough." "You don't need to thank me, just be happy." Kate nodded before saying "So where's he taking you?" "Nobu I think.. I'm sure he's absolutely gagging for it but I'm refusing to put out so he's splashing the cash." Kate rolled her eyes knowing her ex well. "He always did love the chase more than the kill." "You're telling me. He's so leachy it's unreal. The other night I thought he would just cum in his pants at the bar the way he was eye fucking me." Kate put her arm round her friend "Well you are stunning.. anyone can see that even fucked up men like him." "Talking of stunning.." Lucie said coyly. "Yes?" Kate said beginning to pour glasses of wine for them both. "Travis is quite stunning isn't he.." Kate smirked "Yeah he's not bad to look at... why?" "No reason. He's just nice. We've obviously spent a lot of time together recently." "I'll say.. he's meant to be my CPO but I'm sure he prefers to take care of you." Kate and Lucie giggled before they were joined by Johnny. "Kids are in bed, Belle is asleep, and security meeting DONE. Roll on tomorrow and then it's the fucking weekend." Travis slowly followed in too. "Fancy a glass?" Kate said holding up the wine bottle. "I can be persuaded. Travis?" Johnny said leaning on the island. "Wouldn't say no sir. How you doing Luce?" "Good thanks Travis. You?" "Same old.. what time am I picking you up for your big date tomorrow?" "Actually he wants to pick me up." Lucie said quietly whilst rolling her eyes. "I don't like that. I don't like the idea of him knowing where you live." "Yeah but won't it be suspicious if I don't let him?" Kate shrugged "What excuse can she give?" Travis took a sip of his wine. "Tell him your brother is in town, and you don't wanna complicate things." "My brother? I don't have a brother?" "He doesn't know that does he?" "Then what?" "Then we station Malcolm inside your apartment for any unwanted visitors later." Johnny nodded slowly. "Yeah and if he's half the fucker I know he is, he definitely won't wanna meet the family anytime soon." Kate took a large gulp of wine. "This is all so fucked up. Part of me can't wait for the court date in two weeks and part of me wants it to wait forever."

The group had moved to the sofa in the living room with another bottle of wine and as Johnny poured more into everyone's glasses Travis said "Lucie you better stay tonight I'm in no fit state to drive you home with the beers that the boys cracked earlier too." Lucie nodded and turned to Johnny "Is that ok?" "Sure doll. Don't worry." Lucie and Kate smiled before Kate burst into giggles "and where will you be staying Travis?" "In my room Miss Baxter... of course." He said with a wink.

"Borrow whatever you want, it's all in the closet on the right just try not to mess it up!" Kate said smirking letting her friend run into her shared bedroom with Johnny. "How come you slept through your alarm? I distinctly remember you setting like 50?!" Kate said as she grabbed some perfume and sprayed it on. Lucie scrambled an outfit together before exiting the walk in closet. "Are they my Christian Louboutins?" Kate said staring at her friend's feet, "Yes but they aren't your newest pair.." "Ok fine seeing as you're doing what you're doing for me, just don't scuff them!" "Kate they are shoes!!" "Lucie they are fucking expensive shoes." The girls giggled. "This reminds me of college." "Me too." The women hugged before heading downstairs. Johnny was nursing a coffee leaning on the kitchen side whilst Hilda the housekeeper made the children breakfast. Belle was sandwiched in the middle of Lily-Rose and Jack tucked on a bar stall at the island, her little head was only mere inches from the worktop but she seemed happy and Kate knew to trust the children with her child. "Morning!" She said as she poured herself some coffee and kissed each child's head, she never treated the Depp kids any different to Belle and Johnny loved that. She finally appeared in front of him and kissed him before pulling back when they heard a bang. It was Travis rushing into the kitchen before collecting himself "Morning." He mumbled, "Is Lucie ready to leave?" He asked making Kate smirk. "Almost. She's just gathering her stuff." Kate sipped her coffee before asking "Travis how did you sleep?" "Well thank you.. and erh you?" Kate knew he couldn't say too much in the presence of the children and loved teasing him like a sibling. "Oh yes Johnny and I slept fine thank you." Travis nodded before Lucie entered the kitchen. The usually cool confident woman instantly blushed when she saw Travis this didn't go unnoticed by Kate or Johnny who smirked before fussing over the kids.

"Kids you're gonna be late for school. Grab your stuff." Johnny said before following Travis out the kitchen. "I'll be right back darling." Kate nodded before beginning to assist Hilda clearing up breakfast. "Bye Kate see you later!" Jack said grabbing his backpack and heading out to the foyer. "Tomorrow can we go shopping Kate?" Lily-Rose asked pitting on her jacket. "Umm of course if you would like. That would be lovely." She hugged the girl goodbye before the teenager kissed Belle's head and headed off. "Goodness it gets harder and harder to get everyone out the door on time doesn't it?" Hilda said. Kate giggled "Yes it does, goodness, how people cope without a Hilda in their life I don't know!" Lucie approached and hugged her friend. "I'll call you before I leave tonight ok?" "Yes please do. Have a good day. Love ya!"

Johnny returned grabbing his coffee mug "a word darling?" Kate nodded before Johnny turned to Hilda "would you mind keeping an eye on this little treasure? We won't be long." Hilda smiled "Goodness of course not. Take as long as you need." Kate really didn't like relying on Hilda but she was a very maternal figure in both their lives so she followed Johnny out the room. They headed into Johnny's office. "Soooo ummm Travis and Lucie may have got up to something last night.." "NOOOOOO" Kate giggled. "Yep... I knew he was gagging for it but Jesus in our house in our spare room!" Johnny said leaning on his desk smirking. He had grabbed his cigarette tin and began rolling. "Well maybe it's a good distraction for her. Not thinking about Ryan." Kate said hugging herself. "That's what I thought..." Kate nodded "God does this mean that they are a couple?" "Nooo.. just because he lays with a girl doesn't mean he shows her any affection outside the bedroom whatsoever.." "Jesus he's the male version of Lucie then!" Kate smirked. "Sooo you gonna tell her you know?" "No I don't want to invade her privacy, I'll wait until she tells me. Tonight is gonna be stressful enough if he wants to sleep with her too!!" "Yeah you're right. Anyway why don't I treat two of my favourite Baxter girls to brunch?" "Johnny you don't need to do that..." "I want to!" Kate smiled "Ok let me go change and I'll be ready. Can you rescue Hilda from Belle!?" "Course.. let me go find the munchkin."
