Waking up in her husband's arms, Kate felt she was still in somebody's dream. Had yesterday really happened? She felt so content she didn't want to open her eyes and ruin the moment. She relaxed further into the large pillow and Johnny's arms before she felt his arms squeeze her gently pulling her even closer to him. Her back was pressed against his bare chest as he spooned her. She smirked as she felt him play with her engagement and wedding ring on her finger. "Good morning Wife." "Good morning husband." She murmured into the pillow. "How did you sleep?" "Immensely well... how did you?" "Oh wonderful after I got over my sublime wife." Kate rolled in his arms, he still had a close hold of her as she kissed his nose. "If Yesterday was a dream, I never want to wake up." She said with a smile. "I'm glad it lived up to your expectations." "Expectations? It was beyond my wildest dreams." She giggled. "Good. That's what I was going for." Johnny smirked. "So now what?" "Now we take on the world my love."

After another hour or two in bed cherishing and ravishing one another, breakfast arrived and the couple enjoyed soaking up their last moments alone. "So you asked me what the plan was..." Johnny said sipping his coffee. "Yes... when do we need to go home?" "Well I thought we could go home... via somewhere." "Via where?" "Well I need to talk to you about it..." he slowly put his mug down before reaching for her hand. "I'm very aware, that you had little to no family present at our wedding yesterday, and although you tell me it was a dream, I'm sure you would give anything to have your parents by your side?" Kate bit her lip nodding silently. Surely that was a given? Johnny rubbed his chin before continuing "and it would have been my incredible honour to have two who I'm sure you'll agree would be amazing in laws." Kate licked her lips fighting tears. "So I think, and it's only my opinion and we don't have to if you don't want to, I think we should fly home via San Diego. If you want to. We can go back together. United, as a couple, and as a family. It's not right that you block out all those happy memories because you had nobody to support or guide you. Let me be your strength." Johnny said solemnly. Kate took a deep breath, she hadn't returned to her home since the funerals of her parents. She closed her eyes thinking of the pain and anguish but knew deep down Johnny was right. "The plane is on standby. It will go wherever I tell it to go" Kate opened her eyes before silently nodding. Tears fell down her cheeks. "I think you're right. It's time. Thank you." She said wiping the tears away. "I promise I will be by your side the entire time." She smiled and nodded. "We're in this together ok?" "I love you Johnny." "Love you more Mrs Depp."

Much much later on in the day, a private plane landed at an airfield just outside of San Diego. Kate had spent most of the flight fussing over Belle in order to distract herself and it hadn't gone unnoticed by her new husband. Lily-Rose and Jack had been extremely sympathetic and mature about the whole situation and offered their love and support which she was eternally grateful for. Johnny had gone above and beyond as always. He had ensured that his button hole, and Kate's bridal bouquet had been preserved from the day before and were on board with them, as a tribute to leave on his new in law's graves. Belle yanked on Johnny's jeans as the family began disembarking from the plane "Belle stop annoying him!" Kate said flustered. "Darling, she could never annoy me.. and stop talking to her as if this isn't permanent. You are my wife now remember and if you still plan to let me adopt her I'll be in her life for a long time." Kate nodded smiling. "Sorry.." "don't be. There's a lot going on." Johnny picked up Belle as Lily reached over and handed her rag doll to the child before squeezing Kate's hand. "We are here for you remember. I can't wait to see where you grew up." Kate smiled "Thank you darling."

The new Mrs Depp had partook in a very long emotional phone call earlier in the day with her old neighbour Mable and had informed the elderly lady her plans to return that very evening. The neighbour was somewhat shocked, but relieved that the woman was finally returning, especially after watching her grow for many years, and not having children of her own. Mable had kept an eye on the house for the past years and had only ever contacted Kate through email as per her request so to hear her voice and to know she would be back in the city before nightfall excited her. The 77 year old had vowed to make the house perfect to allow the Depp family to spend the night. Kate had insisted that she not go to any trouble however Mable was having none of it and rushed off after the phone call to set to work.

Eventually the two large SUV's carrying the Depp family and their security pulled up on Pine Street and specifically at the address that Kate had nervously given Sean and Travis at the airfield. The vehicle stopped and Kate looked up, pushing her sunglasses up off her face, the late afternoon sun was still strong and her eyes were wide. She did her best to not look directly at her family home, and to focus on Mable's house where they had planned to go first. "Doll?" Johnny asked. "I just need a moment." The entire car stayed quiet until suddenly Kate lent over and unplugged Belle's car seat, she picked up the child and left the vehicle, standing on the sidewalk. Slowly Johnny, his children and Sean and Travis followed. Kate slowly placed Belle on the ground and walked to the large cast iron gate. She opened it and headed to the front door where she knocked quietly and waited.

Eventually a small yet plump woman with grey hair and a flower apron on came to the door. She had friendly eyes and a wide smile. She immediately gushed when she saw Katie and placed her hands on her face. "Oh my darling." She said emotionally stepping onto the doorstep and wrapping the woman she hadn't seen in nearly a decade in a huge hug. It was the type of hugs that mothers give their children claiming that they never saw them even if they did every single day. Bone crushing, almost enough to knock the air out of the newly married woman. It had been years since Kate had experienced anything like it. "You look so well, oh it's so good to see you!! And who are all you?" Mable said sweetly gesturing to Johnny and the children.

Kate looked nervous as she looked at all the faces around her. "Maybe it's best if we come in?" She said smiling.
