The Depp's had decided to opt for an extremely quiet Christmas at Kate's house in San Diego. The elder two children spent a few days after Christmas with their mother and step father whilst Johnny and Kate got the Baxter family home back in order. The latter was happy that the house was fast becoming a family home, and she was equally as excited that Johnny and his children felt so welcome there.

They had arrived back in LA the day prior, and Kate was as usual rushing around, preparing everyone for going back to school and work. Johnny was in his office when a gentle tap was heard on the door. "Come in!" He called out placing his cigarette in the nearby ash tray. It was Sean and Travis, they entered the room and slowly closed the door behind them. "What's up guys?" "We've got news. Freeman has been spotted. In Detroit. I've put a check out to see if we can see if he's staying anywhere but I'm relying on an old buddy of mine to do something a little dodgy." Sean said nodding. "But we think we've found him?" Johnny said seriously. "Yes sir.. we've got to play it cool though. If we approach him, we could spook him and he could go back underground. If we bring him back, they'll arrest him, and you won't get what you want." Travis said. "Well maybe we could negotiate..." "Negotiate?" Sean said looking at his boss. "I don't know if I like the sound of that." "I don't like the sound of any of it, but I want that fucker out my girl's life." Sean nodded before standing "we'll keep this to ourselves for now shall we and see how we go?" Johnny nodded. "Thanks guys."

The next day Kate was making breakfast for Belle in the kitchen as Johnny walked in. "Morning Angel." He kissed the toddler's head before approaching his wife. "Hey you... I can't believe you got up before I woke... I wanted to ravish you." He said quietly kissing her. "Maybe I can get a rain check?" She asked and he nodded smirking. "Look at you love birds. It's so sweet." Hilda said as she began her daily chores. "I was thinking..." Johnny began before Sean wandered in. "Boss... a word?" "Wait for me?" Johnny said to his wife before heading out into the foyer and being led to the security office.

"So.. we've got a plan. We know where he's staying. He's got an Airbnb downtown.. shall we pay him a visit?" "Send somebody we trust. The less people know about this the better." Sean nodded. "And I want him alive Sean... this isn't a fucking mafia movie don't send Trav. We know how protective he is off the girls." Sean nodded before Johnny left the room.

"So where was I?" Johnny said chuckling wrapping his arms around his wife. "How about.. a late lunch, followed by an evening of romance for my beautiful wife?" Kate's eyes widened. "What have I done to deserve that?" "Well you've finally got a day off work, and you're just your amazing self." Kate smiled. "That sounds amazing... I hope Belle goes down smoothly." "She will... I think the excitement of the holidays and New York has finally died down for her." Kate nodded before beginning to clear away the breakfast items.

Later that afternoon, Johnny had escorted his new wife and youngest child (soon to hopefully be officially adopted by him) to an elegant restaurant. As they pulled up, press lingered and snapped photographs of the trio. Kate knew this was the first time she had been seen with the large wedding band on and knew it would make front page news. Still she put the thought to one side and focused on her day off. Johnny gently put an arm round her lower back and took Belle's hand. The three year old was completely pushing for independence these days and did not want to be picked up. They finally made their way into a private booth area, and Sean and Travis sat close-by. "This looks amazing.. I hope Belle behaves." Kate said nervously. She looked up to see Johnny pulling faces at the toddler from behind his menu and began to giggle. "What on earth.." she laughed as Johnny spotted her watching and pretended to hide with Belle.

As they made their way out the restaurant late that afternoon. Kate asked Johnny once sat in the car, "Where's Mark? I thought he was covering Travis for a few days." "Oh umm he had to go out of town for a while." "A while?" Kate asked shocked. "Is he ok?" "Yes he's fine.. he'll be back before you know it." The woman simply nodded before checking her phone as they drove home. It wasn't for her to worry about Johnny's staff, she just thought it was strange given prior to Christmas he had insisted on everyone having full time security with no exceptions and now one of their closely trusted aids had gone away.

After putting Belle down for the night in her nursery, Johnny disappeared whilst Kate pottered around the house, finally finishing up in the kitchen she poured two glasses of wine for them both before retreating to the living room, where a large fire was already lit providing a comforting, warming glow. As she sat down on the couch, she caught glimpse of her wedding bands, she was so easily distracted by them. She often found herself staring at them, in complete shock that this was her life and she finally found the man of her dreams.

Johnny soon appeared in the doorway and admired his wife, she took his breath away without even realising. He slowly made his way in and she looked up and smiled "Where have you been?" she giggled knowing they often joked about how big the house was. "Organising the most relaxing evening ever... well as relaxing as possible with a 3 year old in the house." Kate's eyebrows furrowed. "Follow me" he said holding out his ring clad hand, and leading her out the room. They made their way up stairs into the master bedroom, where every surface was covered in candles, all different shapes and sizes. The vinyl player in the corner had some old tunes playing, and it made Kate's heart swoon. "You did all this?" she asked in barely a whisper. "I did... for my wife." He smirked. "Well aren't you just the best husband." She said smiling wandering into the en suite, where the large roll topped tub was full to the brim with bubbles, surrounded by even more candles. "Climb in.." he said approaching her from behind. "Only if you'll join me." she said with a smile turning in his arms. "I thought you would never ask." He winked at her. He kissed her and left her to undress whilst he approached his bedside table and took off his watch, and jewellery. He pulled his phone out his back pocket, and saw it flash with a message. It was a text in the group chat between him, Sean, Travis and Mark.

Mark: I've got eyes on the fucker. Will move on it tomorrow. Everything in hand.

Sean: Great work Mark. Don't do anything stupid.

Travis: You could do.. I'd back ya in court.

Sean: This is exactly why we didn't send you McGivern.

Johnny: Thanks for the hard work guys. Catch you tomorrow. Spending the evening with my girl.

Travis: AKA... DO NOT DISTURB

Sean: You got it.

Mark: So glad I am states away...
