Chapter Fifty Two

A few days later, a sheepish looking Sean arrived with two leather holdalls full of cash. He walked straight into the security room and put the bags in the safe. Travis appeared in the doorway, "all set?" "Yes, I don't like it at all." "Well Mark has been on the phone all day... he said our guest is getting restless." "Course he is. Wouldn't you be? He's on the run and he's due to get the biggest pay out of his life for selling his kid. Sick fucker. Where's the boss man?" "Upstairs with Kate, she didn't feel well again." "I'm not surprised with all this stress... she's wiped. The boss needs her to jack her job in and get back to normal, she's a broken woman." Travis nodded before heading back out into the foyer.

Meanwhile upstairs, Johnny was with Belle in her bedroom, whilst Kate was in the master bedroom. "Mama?" The little girl asked and headed out the room with Johnny hot on her tails. "Mama is resting." He said but the little girl bundled into their bedroom, and he was relieved to see they hadn't disturbed his wife, as she was emerging from the en suite. "Sick again?" He asked and she shook her head. "No.. I actually feel a lot better after that nap." She said with a beaming smile which in result made him smile. "Good, I'm glad darling." Kate smiled before kissing Johnny. "Let's go get you and those elder pickles some dinner shall we?" The mother said before heading out and down the stairs.

Much later on, as the family finished dinner Lily spotted her father putting his jacket on. "Dad? It's Friday night. What are you doing? We always do movie night on Fridays." "I know darling, but I've got to step out. A bit of business. I'll be back later. Start the movie without me and I'll be home before you know it." Kate had a fair idea as to where Johnny was going, but couldn't voice her opinion in front of the children, she thought he was mad doing this, her and her child were not worth the uproar it would cause in Johnny's life if the story broke. "Jack, you're in charge, do everything Kate says and be the man of the house ok?" Johnny hugged his son before kissing Lily's head and then wandering over to Belle. "Be a good girl for Mama ok my little munchkin?" "Ok Dada." The little girl beamed and threw her chubby arms around Johnny's neck. Kate clocked eyes with her husband who offered a comforting smile. He gently passed Belle over to Lily before kissing Kate goodbye. She hugged him tightly not wanting to let him go but reluctantly did when he peeled her hands off his own body. "I'll be home shortly." He whispered moving her hair off her face. "I love you, I love you all." He said looking around at the children.

Sean entered the kitchen and stopped abruptly as he saw Johnny saying his goodbyes. He looked directly at a broken looking Kate and offered a smile. She looked at him before nodding and licking her lips. The two men walked out the room, before Kate tried to cheer the children up by suggesting making ice cream sundaes before their movie night.

Johnny arrived at the hideout that they had been keeping Ryan at and pulled his collar up around his neck. Sean opened the trunk of the SUV and pulled out the two large holdalls. He nodded at his boss, before they entered the building and found their way to Ryan and Mark. The latter debriefed with Travis before heading out for a smoke. "Oh look the hunky movie actor returns.." "I'm flattered pal, but I only have eyes for one person. Your ex girlfriend, my NOW wife." Johnny said coldly. "Yeah yeah you're welcome to her." Ryan said rolling his eyes. He made to stand before Sean stepped in front of his boss. "Let's get down to business shall we?" "You'll sign this paperwork giving up your parental rights. You'll also sign the documentation that allows the adoption to go through seemingly. That means you do NOT need to attend court at any point or ever be in the vicinity of Kate, Belle or my family ever again, got it? We've got a car out front ready for you to get out of the state. Hell out of the country for all I care." Ryan smirked. "Yeah yeah... and what about my money?" Johnny held his breath before clenching his jaw. "I'll sign whatever it is you want, just give me the money." Ryan said as Johnny's fist came into contact with his jaw in one of the hardest punches he had ever thrown. The crunch of bone did not go unnoticed by Sean or Travis. "Nice one sir." Travis said under his breath. "You fucker." Ryan said scrambling to his feet and holding his injured face. "That's minimal to what I really want to do to you. Take that as a token gesture for how cruelly you treated Kate." Johnny reached inside his jacket pocket and pulled the paperwork out, he threw a pen down on the table and said "Sign."

Ryan signed everything he needed to, and Sean handed over the holdalls. "I trust I don't need to count it. You're good for it?" Ryan said sarcastically. "Just get out of my sight." Johnny said turning his back to the man. "It was a pleasure doing business with you Mr Depp. Enjoy the frigid cold hearted bitch.." as Johnny turned to retaliate he saw Travis' fist make contact with Ryan's face knocking him off his feet once more. The former shook his fist out and looked around at Johnny and Sean. "Sorry.. couldn't help it, my hand slipped." He said as Ryan got to his feet grabbed the bags and left.

The trio made their way out to the SUV and saw Ryan scramble into the old banger car they had sourced. "Right boys I'm off.." Travis said. "Off?" Johnny said. "Yeah Sean gave me the night off as long as I came to this first.... Hot date." Travis winked. Johnny just shrugged and nodded as Travis jumped in Mark's vehicle and Mark jumped in the passenger side beside Sean. "Get me home guys." Johnny said looking down at the official paperwork that would allow him to become Belle's father in every way that it mattered.
