Johnny Depp eventually attempts to move on after the debacle of his former marriage and false allegations. Katie, a pretty, happy go lucky woman catches his eye but comes with some baggage.

"Johnny?" Kate said quietly. He stopped what he was doing and scooped Belle up into his arms, the latter was excited to be embraced by her father figure and giggled before smacking her face with her hand making Johnny laugh. She noticed he was in dark suit trousers and a crisp white shirt that was open to his chest showing off his many unique pieces of jewellery. "What's going on?" Kate asked. Lily-Rose and Jack subtly moved closer to their father, as he began to wander towards the woman. "Well... we wanted to share and tell you how much you mean to us, by reminding you how vital you are to our little blended family we have going on here." He nudged his head towards Belle. "And with that in mind, the three of us had a very important question for you, and I've already discussed it with Belle.. and she seems fairly on board so really it's now down to you." Lily practically jumped on the spot with excitement and Jack gently put his arm round his father, and took Belle into his arms. Kate's eyes went wide, as Johnny pulled out something from his pocket.
He handed the folded paperwork to Belle and said quietly but they all heard "Now give to Mama." Belle chuckled and handed it back to Johnny saying "No Dada.." before snatching it back and handing it to Kate who slowly unfolded the paperwork and skim read it. "Johnny? These are adoption papers?" "Yes... I want to adopt Belle, if you would, allow me the honour that is?" Kate was shocked, flabbergasted. "Adopt her? Like make her completely yours, legally and in every sense of the word?" "Yes.." Johnny said nervously. "And we want to adopt her too! As our sister. We promise to love her and take care of her and always be there for her." Lily said enthusiastically making Kate smile and well up, a single tear fell down her cheek. She nodded unable to find the words in that moment, she had her hand over her mouth as she read the papers once more. Lily and Jack, began to discreetly leave the room as Johnny began talking to Kate. "So... I assume the children have told you their favourite things about you? How much they love you?" Kate nodded, tears were falling down her face even more so now. "They did." She giggled nervously. "Now it's my turn..." Kate beamed. "I love everything about you. The way you take on the world so fiercely, the way you love Belle with all your being, and share that love with my two children. You're the first thing I think of when I wake up and the last thing I think of when I go to sleep each night. I never thought I would find somebody as unique and as wonderful as you. Now I can't even fathom, imagining spending the rest of my life without you.." Johnny stepped back and dropped to one knee. "Katie Baxter, will you marry me?"
Kate's eyes widened as he opened the box and she saw her mother's engagement ring. She sobbed quietly but managed to nod as he placed the ring on her finger. "Yes.. yes I'll marry you." She said giggling through tears as he slowly stood and wrapped his arms around her. He kissed her passionately before lifting her and spinning her around.

"Please can we come in now??!" The pair heard Jack say loudly from the hallway. "Get in here!" Kate giggled as she cupped Johnny's face once more and kissed him. "You said yes?" Lily gushed. "Yes!!!" Kate laughed. Belle who failed to understand what the excitement was for began squealing and giggling in Jack's arms before she launched herself at Johnny once more. "Da da da da!" Making him smile. "And is it a yes?" He said looking at Belle. "My god a million times yes. Thank you. Not on just her behalf, but mine too. God I love you all so so much." She said kissing Jack's head, then Lily's, Belle's and finally Johnny, before he wrapped his arm around her tight.
"You guys organised all this?" Kate said an hour later, a private chef had arrived and was cooking for them, as they sat at the elaborately set dining table. "Yes I picked the menu, Lily did the decorations." Jack said proudly. "Belle helped with the balloons earlier!" Lily said tickling the little girl under her chin. "And you?" Kate said smiling at Johnny beside her. "I sorted the ring, and the paperwork." He smirked sipping champagne. "It's perfect, thank you so much for getting my mother's ring. I know it's probably not your ideal one.." "Nonsense, it's perfect, it's very you and I would rather you had something you loved than just something with a price tag." "Well I adore it, and it's even more special coming from you." He lent in and kissed her before pulling back. "It looks like it was made for your hand." He smiled before the chef entered with their dinner. The meal was filled with laughter, and sweet moments. Johnny and Kate could barely keep their eyes off one another, and Belle did a fantastic job of keeping everyone occupied.
"I'm so stuffed. I've eaten so much food this week!" Kate said sitting on the couch. "Well you always look amazing so don't start any pre wedding diets will you?" Lily said concerned. "God don't. I can't even think about that yet!" Kate said. "Will you have a big wedding dress Kate?" Lily asked. "Darling let's have some time to think about these things, I don't want Kate overwhelmed." Johnny said making his new fiancé smile. "Ok ok ok... but this is a woman's dream Dad. Girls think about this since they are Belle's age!!" Lily giggled making Johnny roll his eyes jovially. "I know!!" He smirked.
"Right come on we should get Belle to bed, it's getting late!" Jack said standing after the meal. "Guys you don't need to do that. I can do it." Kate said standing. "No, no, you relax! It's your special evening, besides isn't that what good siblings do? Help each other out??" Lily said sweetly making Kate smile. "Belle, come on!" Jack said holding out his hand. The two elders took Belle's outstretched hands and headed out the room. "What a cute picture." Johnny said and Kate nodded. He watched as his fiancé's gaze moved to her left hand, she stared at her newest piece of jewellery. "More champagne darling?" He asked with a smile and she nodded. He poured two glasses before standing and leading her into the sitting room where they sat on the couch together.
"I wonder what's taking the kids so long? I hope she's behaving for them." Kate said to Johnny a few minutes later. "They are probably are giving us some time alone.." Johnny said kissing her cheek softly. "They shouldn't do that. This is as much about them as it us." "I know but I spoke to them at great length and they wanted everything to be perfect for you." Kate lent in and kissed her husband to be passionately. "Well it's more than perfect. More than I could have ever dreamed of Johnny."
A short while later, Johnny and Kate made their way up the stairs to Belle's room, Lily was in the rocking chair with an almost asleep Belle, Jack was sat on the floor leaning up against the wall beside them looking as equally as relaxed whilst Lily read from Belle's fairytale book, one of the first gifts Johnny ever got her. "And they all lived happily ever after." Lily said with a smile before noticing her father and Kate in the room. Belle was now sucking her thumb as the teen stood to place her into her bed. Kate hugged Lily from the side. "Thank you so much." "Don't thank me. I love it." Jack slowly stood and bent down to kiss Belle's head as if it was the most natural thing to do. "Night, B." He said as he left the room, Lily followed suit and left Johnny and Kate staring at the child. "You really want her to be yours?" Kate whispered. "More than anything in the world, as long as her mother wants to be mine too." He whispered back. "Then let's do it. Soon." Kate said with a smile.
