"WHY DOES EVERYTHING BAD HAPPEN TO ME?" Willow shouted to herself. She fixed her blanket around herself as she shoved her books into her locker.
"Woah.. why are you being a Scrooge?" Finn asked coming to her side. "I thought you said this Christmas would be better?"
She couldn't answer him right away as she blew her runny nose. Wiping the excess snot, she let out a deep breath. "It was supposed to be. Now i might be sick on Christmas." Her friend took a small step back and flashed a smile. "I hate you." she said trying to sound not so sick.
"Well why are you at school? You should be at home. Sleeping." he said once she shut her locker and walked with him.
"Last time i stayed home because i was sick, i missed a lot of shit." she said pulling her blanket closer to her. "Not happening again. Besides, i felt worse over the weekend. I'm getting better."
"Well good. I'd be really sad if you weren't here." he smiled. She only waved him off as she walked into class. "I love you!" he jokingly yelled.
"Go to class."
Walking into her english class, there was a sub. Letting out a sigh of relief, she sat in the back ready to take a long nap.
She folded her arms and laid her head over them. She let the blanket cover part of her mouth and was in the most comfortable position she could be in.
Her eyes were shutting but a hand on her back shot her eyes back open. "Willow?" she heard Sam say. She had forgot he was now in her class and sat up. "Are you okay? You look.. half dead."
"Because i am." she said through a stuffy nose. "I'm getting better though." she said annoyed having to repeat herself. "What did you need?"
"I wanted to talk about Christmas. Specifically if you had any plans coming up this week?" In his mind, even when she was sick, she was still beautiful.
"You mean except for giving everyone their gifts that i bought last week and dreading the moment anyone says they hate what i got?" she asked for clarification. "Nope, nothing planned. Why?"
"I was wondering if you wanted to help me spread some Christmas joy this year." he smiled. "I planned on ringing those bells for the Salvation Army."
"I'd love that, Sam."
He nodded and wanted to add more to his thoughts, but stopped himself. "Well i should let you get back to your sleep i interrupted." he said patting her leg.
The sudden contact shocked Willow and made her stop him in his tracks. "Well.. why don't we talk..for a bit." He looked down to her hand on his arm and back to her eyes.
"Really?" he asked taking his seat again.
She shrugged her shoulders. "I mean yeah. We haven't really talked much since.. sectionals. I just thought we could catch up. See what's been going on.."
He thought this might be her way of wanting to be back with him. But he couldn't think that. It wasn't like she changed her mind in a few weeks. But he caved in. "Yeah.."
"Great!" she beamed as much as she could for someone who was getting over a cold.

By the next day, she was feeling way better and even tried to dress up for the spirit of Christmas.
"We might have spent our entire decorating budget for the whole year, but with something that looks as absolutely fabulous as this, i have to say, brav-ho-ho-ho." she heard Rachel tell Santana and Mercedes as they were staring up at the tree.
