Sunoo trailed behind Jungwon with a slight frown tugging at his lips as he kept poking the back of his friend’s shoulder, growing impatient. “Just tell me what’s going on, Jungwon.” he insisted, his tone edged with both curiosity and frustration.

Jungwon sighed, stopping in his tracks before carefully setting aside the medical kit he’d been organizing on Sunoo’s desk. His gaze lingered on Sunoo for a moment, as if weighing the gravity of his next words.

“If I tell you everything now, you might not believe me.” Jungwon said softly, in caution and resolve. He gestured vaguely toward the door. “Go there and see for yourself.”

Sunoo’s brows furrowed, tilting his head slightly. “See what?” His confusion was evident as his mind raced to fill in the gaps.

Jungwon's eyes darted toward the ground for a brief second before meeting Sunoo’s gaze again. “Did you see any separate room from the cabin last time?” he asked carefully watching Sunoo’s reaction.

The question caught Sunoo off guard, his confusion deepening as he recalled the vague layout of the cabin. He had noticed something—an area that seemed out of place and Heeseung had suddenly stopped him from opening that rooms door. He nodded hesitantly. “Yeah, I did. But how do you know that?”

Jungwon didn’t answer directly, his expression growing more serious. “Go to the cabin and open it.” he continued, the weight of his words sinking in slowly. “Then you’ll know half of the truth.”

Sunoo’s heart skipped a beat. “What truth?” he asked in a whisper as a creeping sense of unease settled in his chest.

Jungwon’s gaze remained steady, though his eyes held a certain sadness as if he regretted knowing what he knew. “The truth you deserve to know, the things you’ve been doubting for a long time. Once you see it, come back to me and I’ll tell you the rest.” He paused for a moment before adding, “I’ll tell you what kind of person Heeseung hyung really is.”

Sunoo’s blood ran cold at the mention of Heeseung, his lips parting slightly in disbelief. “Is it something serious?” his heart pounded as the sudden shift in their conversation left him unnerved.

Jungwon gave a small, bitter smile. “More than you can imagine.” he said quietly. “But don’t inform Heeseung hyung that you’re going there or that I gave you any kind of clue.”

Sunoo watched as Jungwon walked towards the door, his presence suddenly feeling heavy in the room. Without another word Jungwon patted Sunoo’s shoulder offering a final glance of reassurance before leaving the room.

As the door clicked shut behind him, Sunoo was left in the silence of his own thoughts, his mind racing in all directions. What could be hidden in that room? What did Jungwon mean by ‘half of the truth’?

The uncertainty started to torment him, pulling him into a spiral of fear and curiosity. He wanted a simple peaceful life with Heeseungbbut ever since everything had changed, nothing seemed simple anymore. Things had taken a 360° turn and Sunoo didn’t even know what to expect from the man he thought he knew.

He wanted to avoid Heeseung. After everything, he feared seeing him again, he feared how Heeseung might look at him, or worse what Heeseung might say.

Sunoo’s heart ached for the man he loved and that love feels tainted with doubt clouded by the secrets Jungwon hinted at. The more Sunoo thought about it, the more his chest tightened until, finally, exhaustion pulled him into sleep, the weight of it all pressing him down like an anchor.

For two days, Sunoo hadn’t left the apartment. He didn’t attend college, didn’t see his friends, didn’t even step outside to feel the fresh air. It was as though the world had shrunk around him and he was trapped in a bubble of his own thoughts.
