Tessia Eralith POV

Two years later

It's been a little over two years now, ever since I managed to form my mana core. During this time, Grandpa has been helping me with my training. Since I was still young and this body is still pretty small, we started out with basic workouts and mana strengthening to get my body stronger and bear the weight of using my magic.

It wasn't too long ago that Grandpa actually let me start sparring with him, with wooden swords, of course. He expressed how surprised and impressed he was with my swordsmanship, calling me a natural and a prodigy (hehehe).

Though, it was a bittersweet compliment since I was only this good because of Grey. We would often train together back on Earth, pushing each other to our limits to become stronger. Well, that is when the training didn't end in extracurricular physical activities. I miss those days often and occasionally have dreams of Grey and me hanging out on Earth, dreams I wish would never end, but we all have to wake up eventually.

Mom and Dad would sometimes watch our sparring sessions. I always find it hilarious when Mom freaks out when Grandpa lands a hit on me, and she yells at him to be more gentle. But, with my mana manipulation and reinforcement, I could easily handle it; I'm not some glass sculpture, after all.

When we weren't sparring, Mom, Dad, and the maids would "teach" me how to read, write, basic arithmetic, and royal etiquette... my favorite... Not! I mean, seriously, it isn't very pleasant to act properly all the time; who in their right mind would want to be a princess?

I've also been trying to purify my core in the meantime. Grandpa told me about the core stages and how the purer the core, the brighter it gets and the stronger you become, as well as the more mana it can hold.

In terms of stages from least to greatest, it goes from black, red, orange, yellow, silver, then white. The red, orange, and yellow core stages also have three stages between them, known as dark, solid, and light. Silver core mages also have three stages, but their stages are known as initial, mid, and high. The only two core stages that don't have the three intermediate levels are white and black. Black is full of impurities and what everyone gets when they first awaken. White core mages were the purest and strongest.

Grandpa said white core mages were incredibly rare, so rare that there were only a handful of white cores on the entire continent. And, in order to become a white core, you needed a unique artifact. However, when I get stronger, I want to test a theory to see if you could attain white core without that said artifact.

I've already met two white-core mages during my short time here in the world, Aya and Alea. Grandpa said they're called Lances, and they serve the royal family. Alea was a kind and gentle spirit who was always nice to me. Aya was more, how to say it, outgoing than Alea. She definitely had a body that would attract men, having flawless, beautiful features. But don't let that fool you. She was also deadly with her sound deviant and wouldn't hesitate to kill you. I enjoyed spending time with them often, as they were like older sisters to me.

Right now, I was sitting cross-legged in my usual spot in the courtyard with my eyes closed, concentrating on my mana core. I could see my dark red mana core in my mind as I pushed mana into it, purifying it. It was about a year ago that I was able to unlock the dark red stage of my mana core. When I did, I was able to see the elemental mana particles, giving me access to elemental magics.

Mom, Dad, and Grandpa were all astonished when I manipulated the elements of earth, water, and wind, as well as plant magic, for the first time. They said a tri elemental with a plant deviant was unheard of. Word about my abilities spread throughout the kingdom like wildfire, and people were amazed and idolized me as some kind of magic guru. However, the kids my age seemed only to want to hang out with me because of my abilities or my status as a princess. Either way, I wouldn't give them the time of day. Most of them were annoying anyway because of our mental age difference.
