A warm smile graced Tessia's soft pink lips as she read from her book. The ambient temperature wasn't too hot or too cold, making the courtyard feel perfect as Tessia sat against the tree.

*Ding*

Tessia's smile flickered, but she maintained her focus on her book, deeply immersed in its contents. A gentle breeze rolled by, feeling blissful against her skin, and a shiver ran up her spine as she felt some of the wind move up her white, sleeveless dress.

*Ding*

Tessia's eye twitched, but she maintained her focus on her book as she flipped her page. Reading the contents of the page, Tessia's cheeks began to turn a little red, and her brows raised. Tessia's legs tightened as she read how the male lead bent the female lead over the table and torturously slowly raised her skirt and lowered her panties. Tessia's breath hitched as she read how he spanked her, and she didn't know that something so vulgar could be so... enticing. She read how the man moved behind the female and-

Tessia's jaw clenched, and she closed her eyes in frustration.

Tessia's eyes flew open and snapped to her head to the right, "Can you stop?!"

Arthur tossed his dagger into the air and caught it by its blade one more time before he looked at Tessia with a raised brow, "Why? Is it annoying you, Princess?"

"Obviously," Tessia snapped.

Arthur smirked, "Then no."

He looked back at his dagger and continued tossing it into the air and catching it by its blade.

"Ugh," Tessia grumbled and aggressively shut the book closed. She sat straight against the tree and glared at Arthur, "Why do you have to be so annoying?"

"Why do you have to be so boring," Arthur retorted and looked back at Tessia. "You've been doing nothing but sitting here for the past three days."

Tessia gave Arthur a smile that didn't reach her eyes, "Are you saying that this spoiled princess' lifestyle isn't exciting enough for you?"

Arthur shrugged and tossed his knife again. " To be honest, I thought you would be doing a lot more troublesome things. I guess the rumors aren't all true."

Tessia's brows raised with surprise, "Rumors? What rumors?"

"The usual," Arthur said casually as he continued to toss his knife. "That you constantly like to sneak out of the palace and cause your father trouble. That the reason you sneak out all the time is to meet someone for scandalous deeds." Arthur caught the knife and looked in thought, "I'm pretty sure there was another rumor that you were pregnant, and you ran away because of it."

Tessia's cheeks heated in anger and frustration, "W-What?! They say all that about me?!"

Arthur looked at Tessia blankly, "And here I thought you didn't care what people thought of you."

Tessia's eyes narrowed, "Of course I care what people think of me. I don't want them to think I'm running around and sleeping with random men. I least of all want them to think I'm pregnant."

Arthur hummed and nodded, "Not random men." He smirked, "So men you know, then."

Tessia's jaw clenched, "No. I'm a virgin, you know."

Arthur just looked at Tessia before he shrugged and tossed his knife again, "Didn't ask. But, good for you."

Tessia huffed at seeing that Arthur didn't care and she looked to the side as she hugged her knees to her chest. She continued to sit there in silence, listening to the wind and the sound of Arthur catching his dagger while contemplating what he said.
