The chow hall was extremely noisy as the trainees sat at the table, enjoying their breakfast before training. Tessia sat there, staring at her plate of food as she pushed some of the scrambled eggs around.

"So why didn't you tell us?" Claire asked.

Tessia looked up at Claire, who was sitting across from her. Claire took a bite of her food and looked at Eleanor inquisitively.

Eleanor, who was sitting beside Tessia, shrugged, "I don't know. I didn't want you all to judge me as the princess before you all had a chance to know me."

"I know how that feels," Tessia sighed, and he eyes flicked to Lucas, who was sitting at the end of the table.

Lucas hadn't said anything all morning and was sitting there with a dejected look. He had bags under his eyes, and his head kept bobbing while he fought with himself to stay awake.

Following Tessia's gaze, Eleanor whispered, "Lucas really pissed him off."

"Who?" Theo asked. "That Arthur guy? He shows up for a second and acts like he's in charge. Wonder if he has a stick up his ass."

Eleanor smiled a little humorously, "Don't say that while he or Caera is around. They'll kick your ass. In fact, try to keep that to yourself and don't say it too loudly."

"Why?" Theo chuckled.

"Because I don't think the people here would take kindly to you speaking of their prince in such a way," Eleanor said.

Claire's and Theo's eyes widened in surprise, and Tessia looked at Eleanor curiously.

"Arthur, is your brother?" Tessia asked.

Eleanor smiled and nodded, "Yeah. My older and overly protective brother."

Theo paled a little, "I-I didn't know."

Eleanor waved away his concern, "I know, don't worry." She shrugged, "The others may not be as understanding, which is why I said keep it to yourself."

Theo nodded and looked at Lucas, whose head bobbed before he shot up and looked around with tired eyes. "You said your brother was pissed off at Lucas?"

Eleanor shook her head, "No." She looked at Lucas, "I said he really pissed my brother off."

"How do you know?" Claire asked.

"Well, for one, look at Lucas," Eleanor chuckled. "And two, I spoke with my brother yesterday when he asked how the first day of training went."

Elijah, who had been silently listening, looked at Eleanor, "Yeah? Did you tell him that it was fun running in the rain?"

"Was it?"

Everyone at the table stiffened and looked toward the voice, seeing Jasmine approaching them.

Jasmine eyed Elijah sternly, "Because I swear you looked absolutely miserable yesterday." She raised a brow, "Or, perhaps I'm wrong, and you want to go for a run again? Perhaps a more challenging route?"

"I-" Elijah began, his mouth opening and closing, at a loss for words.

"Lost your words?" Jasmine scoffed and shook her head. "Maybe you can find your balls instead." Jasmine looked at everyone, "Get up!"

Everyone abruptly stood from the table, with the goblet of water in front of Lucas spilling, falling onto his pants.

Lucas cursed and smacked the goblet to the floor. Jasmine's stern gaze was on him in an instant, piercing him with daggers.

"Bairon's brother or not, you will not act like a fucking child in my presence," Jasmine spat. "Pick up the goblet."

Lucas grumbled under his breath and rolled his eyes. Jasmine's eyes widened with fury, and she quickly made her way around the table and stood mere inches in front of Lucas.
