Arthur stared out the carriage window with boredom as he rested his head in his hands. His eyes were still tired from waking up so early in the morning after being advised he was needed at the Palace early to escort Tessia on an outing in Zestier. Arthur looked out the window with a flat expression, seeing the pristine buildings go by as they rode past. Several of the bystanders would occasionally wave at the carriage, noticing the royal symbol on the side.

"So, where should we go first?" Kristine asked.

Arthur looked toward the voices, seeing Tessia and Kristina sitting across from him. They had bright smiles on their faces as they spoke to each other, planning out their day.

"Oh, I don't know," Tessia said excitedly. She looked up, tapping her finger on her chin, and hummed, "Perhaps we could go to the jewelry store." Her eyes lit up as she looked at Kristine, "Or maybe we should go get some cookies from the bakery we like! Or, we could just go to the dress store!"

Kristine nodded blissfully, "Let's do all of that! It will be so much fun!"

"You can't," Arthur said flatly.

Kristina and Tessia looked toward Arthur with raised brows.

Tessia smirked, "I believe I can do whatever I want."

Arthur sighed with annoyance, seeing he was going to have to play babysitter, "Not today, you can't."

Tessia's eyes narrowed, "And why not?"

Arthur looked at Tessia flatly, "Don't be an idiot, you know why."

Tessia's eyes widened, "Excuse me?! That's incredibly rude to speak to me like that."

Kristine's eyes darted between Tessia and Arthur, staying silent.

Arthur sat back and shrugged, "If you don't want to be called an idiot, then don't act like one. You and I both know you have that meeting today. The one your father told you about."

Tessia looked to the side, "Oh, was that today? I must've forgotten."

Arthur rolled his eyes, "Yeah, I find that hard to believe with how your father literally reminded you before we left."

Tessia huffed, and her eyes darted to Arthur, "Well, maybe I chose not to hear him."

"By the way you ignored him and kept walking when he tried to speak with you, that I believe," Arthur pointed out. He grinned, "But don't worry, I heard him."

Tessia narrowed her eyes, "And let me guess, like the good little dog you are, you're going to follow my father's orders."

Arthur clenched his jaw, feeling irritated at Tessia's words. He gave Tessia a smile that didn't reach his eyes, "Yes, this dog will. But don't worry, I won't bite you unless you're a bad girl."

Kristine's brows shot up, and her eyes darted to Tessia.

Tessia's eyes flared, widening to the size of moons. She opened her mouth to speak when the carriage came to a stop. Tessia huffed, glaring at Arthur, who casually sat across from her, while Kristine's eyes darted between them, beginning to feel like a third wheel.

The carriage jostled as the driver stepped down from the carriage, and they opened the carriage door. The female driver stepped to the side and bowed, "We have arrived, Your Highness."

Tessia glared at Arthur for a moment longer before she looked at the driver and smiled, "Thank you."

Tessia got up and was the first to exit the carriage, followed by Kristine and then Arthur. Tessia didn't wait to see if Arthur was behind her to start walking down the pathway with Kristine behind her.
