"did i mention something about the upcoming graduate's party?" y/n leaned on the table, arms propped on the plastic material of the white table, she, hanni, minji, and danielle were sat across each other on a table under the blue shade above them.

haerin, hyein, eunchae, hyunseo, and kyujin were grouped on the other table.

haerin watched as the group of older girls conversed amongst each other about the upcoming party for the graduates, highschool and some college students in their campus. danielle really isn't a part of the conversation, she's still a year away from being a graduate but she's one of the oldest so she gets to join the conversation of grown teenager girls.

while the rest of them, younger ones are left to converse about the projects being dumped on them by their teachers. haerin really wishes she can strike up a conversation with y/n, but it really is hard when the girl seems only interested with her older friends.

add the fact she's shy, haerin cannot find herself walking up to y/n and asking her out, it's just too much for her. all she can do is stare at the older girl and admire her beauty from a few meters away.

"do you have a date?" minji asked, smiling at y/n. y/n tilted her head and shook her head. "haruto asked me but i'm unsure whether i'll say yes or no. it's not like i know him personally or something." she sighed but then beamed when she remembered someting, haerin watched a smile lit up on her face.

"actually it's not just him who asked me out, i also got a letter from kim donghyun and bae jinsol!" y/n giggled, earning cheers from the other girls, they all surrounded her with amusement.

"my god, our y/n is so popular! those are like the most good-looking people in our batch!" hanni stated, with wide eyes - to be fair, she's literally going out with minji, one of the most majestic students of their year.

"if you get to go with minji, it's only fair i get to be with popular students too!" y/n teased, causing the other girls to laugh. haerin watched, trying to fight the urge to frown or twitch her eye. clearly, none of the younger girls noticed except for eunchae.

"you wish you were a senior too huh?" eunchae laughed, haerin glared at her and rolled her eyes.

of course she does, but unfortunately, she's only a first year high school student.

but she laughed bitter internally, she's brave to wish for something like that but everyone knows she's going to cower down when the day she needs to ask y/n out comes.

"who cares about that anyway." haerin grumbled. leaving eunchae perplexed.

haerin does not have that courage.

that sucks.

"who are you choosing though? that's quite a tough decision, but i think it's decided between jinsol and leehan, i mean haruto is kind of a playboy." danielle muttered, earning nods from the girls. y/n shook her hands. "ah, don't worry about that. i know it, i actually plan on going with leehan. i've already notified jinsol about it, we're cool." y/n shrugged.
