Amy P.O.V.

As if my feet had a mind of their own, they started walking towards the old and abandoned school. How wonderful. Then, they just stopped. I also just realized Drake was next to me. I felt like I couldn't remember anything whatsoever of what just happened. We stopped right in front of the door.

"Should we see if it's open?" I asked.

"I don't know. We can try." Drake said with a shrug.

So I was about to turn the knob when it started pouring rain, and I could hardly see 3 feet in front of me. Oh the luck I'm having.

"Just got a text from Michael. He said he's canceling the camping trip cause this downpour is supposed to last until tomorrow morning. I think we should probably sleep in here for now until the rain stops. Unless if you want to walk back in the rain." Drake said with a mixture of timidness and tiredness while looking down at his phone.

"Yeah I think it would be best if we stayed here for the night." I said trying to sound brave, but really, I was just trying to mask my fear of this odd yet intimidating place. It was as if someone led us here. But why me?

It turns out the door was unlocked. I thought it was normal for someone to leave it unlocked. I mean who would be stupid enough to trespass on this creepy old thing? I guess I'm stupid enough. Drake thought it was a sign that we should turn back, but the rain had only increased even more once he'd said that. I was starting to regret coming here when I finally looked around. It was much more beautiful on the inside.

Other than some broken windows and rat poop, it seemed like a nice place to stay for the night. It had a scratched up chalk board with an American flag right next to it, a bit torn but historic looking. There were 4 rows of 8 desks lined up towards the chalk board. In front of the desks was a desk fit for a teacher with some old looking books on it. Thankfully it had some cushy looking benches where kids must have sat to eat their lunches. They seemed comfortable enough. Well, at least for me.

"We could sleep on those." I told Drake.

"I don't know, I still feel a bit weary of this place." Drake said.

"The only way to stop that weariness is to try it!" I said while playfully jumping on the benches. They were actually really soft and they sort of felt like a bed. Drake jumped on with me and we started to finally feel happy about this place. After that we both fell into a deep sleep. Well, until I got woken up by Drake.

"What is it now." I said with tiredness in my voice.

"I heard a noise."

"It could have been a rat or the rain. Stop acting so paranoid your making me scared. Just go back to sleep."

As if on cue, a loud noise erupted from the coat closet in the corner, making me physically and mentally jump.
