Linh's P.O.V

My heart broke for him.

We don't know anything for sure if course but as his father pulls him into the light I know everyone is thinking the worst.

I go over to Sophie who is majorly freaking out.

"I need to go to him, he needs me."

Edaline places a hand on her shoulder. "Honey, calm down I know this is bad but you can't help anyone if you work yourself into a panic."

I give her arm a comforting squeeze trying to help.

But really I'm just thinking what if my parents hit me? What if they hit Tam?

I can't imagine just living that constant fear they could lash out.

My parents were horrible, are horrible. But I don't think they would hit me.

I lock eyes with Tam and I know he thinking the same thing as me.

He looks away first and puts his arm around Biana's waist she leans into. I've never seen her look that worried before.

She has no idea how happy she makes Tam and it probably works the other way around too.

"Hey."

Wylie had made his way over to me. He smiled at me and my heart melted.

"You ok?"

I thought about that one as I leaned into him.
"Honestly...I don't know yet."
