Sorry I was slow to update, I'm back to school so don't have as much free time but I promise I'll try to update every few days. Enjoy xx

Sophie:

I scream Keefe's name as he collapses. I run over to his side, panicking.

He had a pulse but was a ghostly pale and wasn't waking up.

I shakily pull out my imparter, trembling as I call Elwin.

"Hey Sophie. Don't tell me you hurt yourself again!"

"N..no. Elwin Keefe has just collapsed, he's not waking up. I don't know what's wrong."

"I'm coming. It's going to be ok." He hangs up quickly.

I take a few shaky breaths then shout for Grady and Edaline. They come rushing up immediately, there expressions turned to shock when they saw an unconscious Keefe beside me.

"What's going on?!" Edaline shrieked.

"I don't know mom." She came straight over and wrapped me in a hug while Grady kept trying to wake Keefe.

"He's not waking up dad...I've tried."

He sighed. "I'll call everyone and let them know what's happening. Have you called Elwin?"

"Yeah."

Grady takes out his imparter making his way out of the room.

"I'm here." Elwin shouts as he bursts in the door. He runs straight over to Keefe taking out his medical bag and beginning to flash different coloured lights around him.

"Is he ok?" Edaline says quietly.

"I think so...there doesn't seem to be anything physically wrong,  with him. He's not sick and there's no side effects from his injuries or anything. But....he is manifesting abilities and by the looks of things, he going to have more than one."

"He already has four though."

"I know. But let's not forgot, like you, his genetics were modified. His mother obviously wanted to make him very powerful and even though everything is over with them, it looks like she still succeeded."

"So triggering his abilities worked."

"Precisely. It just took a couple of days to take effect. We'll take him to the healing center and keep an eye on him just in case."

I nod, still processing everything. I guess nothing is really ever over, is it? His mother messed with his genes, and now Keefe is paying the price. Having alot of abilities is hard sometimes, I think I know that more than anyone.

********Little time skip********

People were already at the healing when Elwin, the still unconscious Keefe, Edaline, Grady and I got there.

We layed him on one of the cots and Elwin started mixing different exliers together, and I was met with questioning stares.

The Vackers, Dex, the Song twins and Wylie were there. I sigh. I'm not in the mood for questions, so I just sit on the edge of Keefe's bed, ignoring them.
Fortunately, I have a mother that can tell when I don't want to talk to people. She smiled at me softly and made her way over to them.

I reach out for Keefe hand, almost instinctively, intertwining our fingers together.

I felt a hand on my shoulder. "Hey Soph."

"Hey Biana."

"You ok?"

"Well it's not me who's not waking up and is manifesting more abilities because if my psycho mother." I cringe.
"Sorry Biana. I'm just...."

"It's ok. I get it, you're worried."

"Thanks bee." I flash her a grateful smile.

There was a groan beside me.
I gasp as Keefe squeezes my hand, there was a strange electric shock and his hands were ice cold. Are these his abilities?

"What happened?" He says groggily.
